It’s Friday! This means I have two actual days of sleeping past 6:30AM. It means I won’t have grubby little fingers poking at me for two days. It means I won’t have to deal with screaming infants and toddlers for TWO DAYS!* Yay Friday!
Today I am proposing a question to all you readers. I was inspired by the last fact on my 100 Things About Me list and that was inspired by conversation with my boyfriend while denim shopping at Old Navy. I think it is kind of funny so I wanted to offer it to the internets. My answer is on my list at the end so if you’d like to know my answer, mosey on over here.
Say you had your own tv show about your life. Or you were a superhero and on the way to save the day. Or even just walking into a room, what music would be playing?
If you had a theme song, what would it be? Why that song?
Comment with your answer, lovelies. I’m dying to hear!
*Don’t get me wrong, I love my job and I love the kids but, man, I need a little break!

Ooo, what a great question. I’ll think about it and get back to you!
Fabulous question! I like to think that the song “She’s Everything” by Brad Paisley describes me perfectly. That and I wish he would sing it to me :) I don’t know if that’s a theme song per say, but “The Middle” by Jimmy Eat World might work too!
“Nothing in My way” by Keane. Hands down greatest song ever. *nods*
that one is really hard. i think there have definitely been different songs at different periods in my life that describe me better than others.
so i’m picking two. cuz clearly i’m complex.
some days it’s “Just Might Make Me Believe” by Sugarland. (random country song, I know)
and most days it’s “Trouble” by Pink. heh.
i think i am going to be adding you to my blogroll. :)
Oooh, good question! Hmm, I’d have to say She’s So High by Tal Batchman. Wow, that song’s a throwback.
Rehab by Amy Winehouse. Seriously. Or Milkshake by Kelis.
Good question. My answer could possibly change depending on the mood I’m in on the day the question is asked. It just so happens I’m feeling quite empowered today.
I’m going to go with “My Way” by Frank Sinatra. I know, I know…not really a fun, spunky song. But it’s totally summing up the mini-movie of my life playing in my head right now.
P.S. We’re beyond awesome.
“We’re not gonna take it! No! we aint gonna take it,we’re not gonna take it anymoreee…..” lol idk that was the first song to pop in my head. I dont know the title- but come on- who doesn’t know that song? lol
thanks for the birthday wishes :)
Eek! What a great question. Sometimes I think it’s “Dancing Queen,” by Abba. But I’m not seventeen anymore. There should be a song out there. But I’m so off and on I feel like the song would sound polyphonic and idiosyncratic.
Well when I had a radio show I did actually have a “theme song” that I really like, “Kate” by Ben Folds for obvious reasons. However, I think I would possibly also like “Amazing” by Josh Kelley, I love that song and I heart his music. So either one would work for me. Maybe I could switch off or something, haha.
“Bossy” by Kelis. Ever since I saw it during a Laguna beach episode like 2 years ago, I knew it was my theme song. DL it, and imagine it playing when you walk into a room. Totally kickass.
Haha, wow. Hard question. I’m pretty sure I’d have to go with “Firedoor” by Ani Difranco.
Love her.
That’s a great question!
I don’t think there’s one song I’d be able to pinpoint, but it would probably be something by 3 Doors Down. Or Wonderful World by James Morrison.
ohhh man. great question, but what a toughie. it would depend on my mood for sure…but i honestly can’t think of just one!
When I was in High School, I would have said “Stayin’ Alive” by the BeeGees…
Now, oddly enough, I think it would be “Teenage Wasteland,” even though I know that’s not the real title, and I’m long removed from being a teenager!
I had to think about this one, and my conclusion is possibly KT Tunstall’s “Minature Disasters.” Unless I was a really cool superhero. Then it would be something instrumental - hopefully by Tchaikovsky - in the background while I did things like shooting lightning bolts out of my hands and flying really fast over a prairie. I might have thought about this too long.
Kate by Ben Folds Five. It was originally written for me but Lisa is two syllables and they needed a one-syllable name, so you know, I had to let it go. Haha.
[...] P.S. I loved reading all your theme song answers! [...]
“Hamsterdance” By Hampton P. Hamster
This seriously took me forever to come up with. Beat Happening’s “Youth”
I finally got it!
A song from The Little Mermaid called “Part of Your World”
