I had to redeem myself to the fashion world after that last post. I’m incredibly disappointed in myself. I’m glad some of you understand my reasoning! Purely functional, definitely not for aesthetic purposes. I have been in desperate need for some black pumps, especially for my own Las Vegas vacation, but I could simply not decide. Round toe, pointy toe? Patent leather? Regular leather? So many choices.
Thanks to Macy’s (still not a fan of Macy’s, give me my Marshall Field’s back!) and their buy one, get one 50%, off sale along with free shipping, I decided on the best of both worlds. TWO pairs of shoes.

The pointy toe pumps I really wanted were sold out, so I got these instead. They will suffice until I have the cash to indulge myself a little more.
I will write a real post soon. Promise. Enough of my shopping addiction for now…well, at least until something else fabulous comes along!

Those are adorable. The patent pair is particularly squee-tastic. Curse you for making me want new shoes! :p
I love how the Mary Janes have the strap you can move out of the way. Genius! And I, too, have almost succumbed to buying knock-off Uggs for their practical purposes, but it almost NEVER freezes or snows here, so I really don’t need them. It’s 71ยบ here right now and I’m actually wearing flip flops today.
I like the round toed ones. They remind me of character shoes!
Character shoes? Like Minnie Mouse? I never heard that before. If so, then they will be called my Minnie Mouse shoes from now on!
I’m a round toer myself, and those round toe ones are adorable!
very cute.
p.s. about those uggs, or the knock offs, i’m generally not a huge fan, but i caved in one year, bought a pair and ruined the heck out of them. so the next year i bought very cute fleece lined rain boots, they were by sperry topsider, and never looked back. just a tip.
I did see some cute fleece lined rain boots a month or so ago but I didn’t want to spend the cash. I should probably eventually do so I won’t have ugly warm boots. Just cute warm boots! Thanks!
I wish I could comment on this, but I have nothing on the “shoe” world.
Men can definitely be part of the “shoe world”!
Those are great shoes, I especially like the first pair. I really like this blog and I think your awesome commentary makes up for the Ugg knock-offs :)!
haha, thanks Heather! The first pair are my favorite too!
So cute! I know what you mean about Macy’s…We’ve always had it here, but it took over Filene’s and I miss Filene’s soo much!
Oh, the round-toed shoes are so cute! I just can’t get into the pointy-toes fashion somehow, I think they make my feet look too big! But both of these are cute and you are hereby absolved of the Uggs.
Cute! I especially love the first pair. I’m a round toe shoe fan.
I was going to mention that the round-toed pair look like character shoes, but someone beat me to that comment!
I have a pair of similar pointy-toed shoes, but the heel is teeny, maybe an inch? I absolutely adore them.
You have great taste!
Thanks Renee! I kind of wish I would have went with a higher heel. Those are only 2 3/4.
Buying new shoes is definitely a reason for a post.
I love the ones you picked! Sometimes simple and black is the best and sexiest way to go.
I agree! I have cute other colored shoes and the sexiest pair of peep toe black pumps but I was definitely lacking these! A girl’s gotta have variety!
Oh I really like the ones on the left, super cute! And new shoes is always a good reason to post, heck I did it, haha.
LOVE the patent leather ones!! so cute!!!
I want the shiny ones- glorious!
I love your choices - black pumps are always tre’ chic!
Both pairs are totally adorable and sexy. Parfait!
Ooooh I love these! I am usually a pointy-toe kind of gal, but the round ones are hot. Excellent choices.
And PS, I totally have fake Uggs too. I wear them in the car on the way to work in the mornings, because I don’t want my nice shoes getting all salty and wet. I promise that I change as soon as I walk in the front door. Oh how I hate them despite their seductive comfort.
You described it perfectly, Virginia!
i LOOOOVE them both!!! its great how the heel isn’t too high on either!
I’ll go ahead and fess up: I didn’t see what the big deal was with those boots. I thought they looked pretty nice.
*ducks for cover*
*slaps forehead* Tyler!
I adore the round toed shoes. Want!
Buy one, get one 50% off sale?!? My feet are rather long so I’m not a huge fan of them pointy shoes (I’m losing friends just saying that), so yeah, the first one’s what I love. But dude, for 50% off? Would totally wear pointy shoes.
Seriously! I was like hmmm, can’t decide. 50% off? I’m getting both of them! Yay! Sometimes you just need a little variety :)
ha, you have been redeemed. ;)
I was hoping so!
I have had the exact same experience - purchased “Fugs”, realized the wrong in my ways, then later spent more money on cute, fashionable shoes.
Cute blog by the way :)
