Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs! I looooved that book. The art in it is amazing and i would read it over and over and over again. It's definitely a great choice for a 2-4 year old. I got it for my daughter recently. Oh and Grover's "there's a monster at the end of this book!." So cute. It's strange, i never really read where the wild thing are until i was much older.

I was in search of your ANTM posts you spoke of, but I had to stop and comment on this one. :o) My first favourite childhood book was the Sesame Street Dictionary. hahahha That's what my dad used to teach me how to read.

I really love Sandra Boynton books. I wish they had been around when I was little. They are adorable.

A bit older, but the greatest children's novel ever is "The Phantom Tollbooth".

I used to love the Serendipity book series, too.

Ok, my mom is a preschool teacher and we have an unnatural love for kids' books. We still buy them for one another.
Anything written by Eric Carle.
"Diary of a Worm" and the follow up books "Diary of a Spider" and "Diary of a Fly" -hysterical.
Anything written by this guy: http://www.mowillems.com/
Seriously, Mo Willems is the best current children's author, in my opinion. "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus" and "Knuffle Bunny" are two of my current favorite books.

I can't think of a book, but I LOVED being a nanny. LOVED IT. Still love to babysit, tho it's so hard to find the time with the "grown up" job. :)
