Project Runway:408

I’m starting to believe MK has no other clothes.

After last weeks very disappointing episode, I was hoping this one would make up for it. In theory, this was a cool challenge.  Winner wise, LAME. The challenge was to come up with an avant garde design, inspired by some crazy hairstyles. Designers were broken up into pairs randomly. Sweet P and Rami were one team, Chris and Christian another, Jillian and Victorya and finally, Ricky and Kit. Rami comes up with, what else? A drapey mcdrape drape dress and is really annoying and kind of just rude to Sweet P the whole episode. Chris and Christian make a dramatic, gown in all ruffles. Christian is like OMG SO HAUTE COUTURE IM SO FIERCE. Kit and Ricky come up with this wierd garden design with aprons, florals and hoop skirts. Victorya and Jillian’s girl has this ponyhawk type deal and they decide it’s 80s and punk. Tim then comes in and is like HAHA, you have to make another look. Victorya wants to vomit and Rami gets more ridiculous.Runway? Let’s get to it!

Team Garden Party

This is on some reject Scarlett O’Hara shit.

Team Fierce (in their own minds)

Kind of reminds me of the thousand ruffle Versace gown in Sex and the City, but not as big or sea foamy. I couldn’t find a picture of it.

Team Drape

Looks like every other damn thing Rami has made. I’m pretty sure I called him out about doing that first episode. Unfortuately, that’s all he does. Plus, he argues with Tim and that is a big no no!

Sweet P’s dress for the second look was very cute though. I’d so wear it:

Team Victorya is lame/Jillian is awesome

Ridiculous. Look at that jacket. Seriously? Amazing.

Winner:

Not interested in this kid. He makes me flinch when he comes on screen or talks. Oh, and he called his high school age client a tranny.

Who should have won:

Jillian.
That coat came together so well. It was fabulous and that model worked it.

Who goes home:

See ya, Kit!
I’m not really surprised. I even said in my last recap, I’m surprised she is still here. All her stuff has just been mediocre.  Obviously, her time finally came.

You know what? As silly as this sounds, if Kit’s dress had just been sewn a *smidge* better – I would’ve been ALL over that mama jama.

    I… kindasorta love it.

    I *really* didn’t like Rami’s though.

Kit’s dress looked like a bunch of blankets sewn together. You know, the kind with the shiny binding on the borders? Yeah, like that. Ugh.

I hate Christian. Everything that he says makes me want to punch him in the face.

Yep, Rami’s looked like everything else he has made except he put it over pants (very avant garde). Loved the Pat Benatar coat – very cool.

I liked this challenge and would have rathered that they all got to do their own but be given more time.

I was a little sad that nothing made Ricky cry this week…I’ve come to count on 3 constants each week. Drapey from Rami and annoyance with Christian and tears from Ricky.

oh le sigh. Finally I loved the idea of the challenge (and not just the guest judge) and I only got 2 good outfits out of it.

Regrettably, I actually liked Christian this week. Boo on me!

Deulitch, that’s some kind of fantastic joke right? You’re so funny!

Deutlich – Rami needs to go away! If I see another ridiculous gown from him, I might throw something at my tv.

Hope – I agree on both counts!

Michelle – Me too! I would start to laugh every time Ricky came one screen because I was hoping this would be the crying moment! I can’t believe he didn’t shed one tear last night. Editing must have been heavily involved!

Tiff – No boo on you. It was good. I still just want to punch him in the face. I really do think Jillian should have got the win. That jacket was fierce beyond fierce!

I was at a work gathering at a bar last night and ALL the girls were stressing out because they couldn’t TIVO this show.

Who knew it’d be such a huge phenomenon?

Kit/ Ricky’s dress looked like something one would have worn to a debutante ball or a coming out party. 100 years ago. I think Ricky should have been the one to go home, Kit may have been mediocre, but Ricky is just bad.

My husband and I got in an argument last night over whether Christian was a boy or a girl. He thought I was lying to him when I told him Christian was a boy. I still don’t think he believes me.

I am still so very much on Team Christian. I think he’s hiiiiilarious. I agree that Rami bit the big one. I love when Chris+Christian were talking about how they were building a cell phone tower on the dress and they were going to call Elisa’s planet. FAB.

Ricky does seem to have 9 lives, doesn’t he? Goddess, I am so sick and tired of his callerwalling. I’m with Mia – I think he should have gone home.

I was actually pretty bored by this episode. I don’t know why, it just didn’t keep me interested for some reason. I watched a recap yesterday.

I love/hate Christian. His comments drive me crazy, but at the same time I crack up. I do love Sweet P.’s dress.
