The other day I got a surprising email from the lovely Lisa informing me I am a finalist for the 20 Something Blogger Awards. I was nominated by the fabulous Lisa from The Lisa Show for Most Likeable. I don’t know who/if anyone else nominated me also for that, but if you did, thank you! My blog is still a baby, I only started writing in October, but like I said before, I’ve gotten nothing but love from the bloggy world since then and I’m surprised it’s gotten to where it has today!

I think tomorrow Lisa will be putting all the nominees for each category, as well as a few sample posts, up on this site: here. Make sure you stop by and check it out. Get your votes in, even if they aren’t for me. I could careless if I win, I’m just happy to get recognized!

On a completely unrelated note, I just wanted to say hi to the Sanjaya (yeah, the dude with the hair from American Idol) fans who are now visiting my blog! Who knew using “ponyhawk” to describe a models hair in my Project Runway recap would cause linkage from the Official Sanjaya Fansite message board?

I’m pretty damn sure you got nominations from many others. Also, it’s funny that there’s a Sanjaya Fansite – capitalized, no less, and Official, too. Haha.

Hey! I think I nominated you for that! Well, I know I nominated you but I like to think it was for most likeable (can’t really remember)- I like to think my vote is what helped you get that nomination. That’s so freaking exciting Jamie, I’m happy for you! I got nominated for funniest, and spent the better part of yesterday re-reading everything to see what was ‘funny ‘ enough to send to Lisa. I have learned that things are not nearly as funny after you’ve read them more than once.

Oh yes, using “ponyhawk” identifies with Sanjaya and will definitely get lots of attention. There are millions of Sanjaya’s fans anxiously waiting to see his new TV show and to purchase his new Cd. People Magazine just published a 2 page spread about what Sanjaya is now doing with pictures of him and his sister in their new home in LA.
