Good news — I will not be turning into a human popsicle today! My dad came home and fixed our heat. We are currently at 58 degrees and working our way on up! Yay dad!

Last week, I received an email from an up-and-coming author, whose book was just released February 5th, asking me if I’d like to check out her new book. Me, being the fabulous person I am, decided if I’m getting hooked up with a new book, so is one of my readers! I’m going to be giving away a copy of Eileen Cook’s novel Unpredictable. Eileen also will be guest posting here on Wednesday, which is also when we will be holding the contest and telling you how enter. Seriously, I’d check back — guest posts, new reads, and maybe a little something extra! It should be fun!
Plus, this is the first giveaway, I’ve ever had here. It would be awesome if people entered and I don’t look like douchebag for trying to do something cool and having it fail miserably!
Don’t forget. Wednesday!

You’re funny. I mean you can always just give the book to me :)
Oh and my sister made me a Slytherin scarf and she had Gryffindor. I think you can buy them actually.
yay, I’m glad you’re doing this. I want to read her book, even though my absent-minded self forgot to respond to her email! :)
Plus, I love contests!
Yay no more humancicles!!!
That’s so funny that a publisher contacted you, I just had one contact me and Arielle to review a book on our book review blog! Not the same as yours, but that’s funny!!
Say free and they will come!
Sounds like fun…aren’t we the big time with authors asking for shout outs and swag to go with it? :)
Glad the heat was fixed. I’d love to win that book, looks great!
i’ve run so many contests, a number of which fell on their faces…but you just gotta keep pushin on:) i’ll be here for sure!
Oh I’m a sucker for a contest, so count me in :)
ooo how exciting! and yeah, being cold in an apartment sucks.. make some hot cocoa!
haha i got that same e-mail and thought it was spam. oops, guess i’m not as kind hearted and fabulous as yoooouuu. p.s. i wasn’t at lolla last year, but the year before. it was so hot and the only way i made it out alive was because my friend knew someone who got us vip/backstage passes with unlimited access to beer and vitamin water. some of which we drank to stay hydrated and some to pour grey goose into. haha.
Is it weird that I’m REALLY excited about this?
three cheers for hero dads! So glad the popsicle saga has closed. I’ve heard good things about Unpredictable, and I think your contest is a totally inspired idea :)
We turn of the heat at night (because we’re insane?) and this morning when I woke up it was 58. I almost started crying that’s how cold I was. I can’t believe that 58 was on the up and up for you! Insane!
So much fun!!! I will not miss it!
I was gonna say, “I’m in, what do I have to do?”
But you said, “Be here Wednesday!”
I need to learn to follow directions. I’ll be here.
I will so be back on Wednesday.
And I am way glad that your heat is working again :D

I’ll be reading and reviewing her new book too! Your idea to give one away in a contest is so much more exciting :)
Miriam - Oh definitely. I would be so much cooler though if I could make one haha. I want a super long one. I just don’t have the patience!
Tiff - It seems like a lot of lovely ladies in our little 20 something circle got asked to do it! I’m very interested to see everyone else’s thoughts on it!
Lacey - You probably won’t check back here but I need to find out the where your book review blog is! I’d love to check it out!
Michelle - haha, hardly! It seems like she contacted a bunch of people, I just thought it would be fun to do!
Vanessa - Me too! It was freezing!
d - I’m really hoping this does well. I don’t want it to fail! Thanks for showing support!
Katelin - Yay!
Julie - Yesterday would have been the perfect day for hot coco, I wish I would have had some on hand!
Shanti - That is awesome! I definitely did not have the preferential treatment the past few years I have gone. You lucky girl!
Brandy - I’m excited you are excited!
Magda - Seriously. My dad is my hero!
Lisa - That’s how I felt yesterday morning until my dad got it working again. I had like leggings, sweats, socks, big slipper socks, shirt, long sleeve and sweater. I was layered up all morning!
Dolce - Awesome!
Lippy - Thanks!
Heather - Yay! Me too, girl! Me too.
Adele - haha, I’m sorry if it sounded mean, I just don’t think the fake bag industry should be one anyone is supporting. It’s just no good.
Katie - I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what you think of it too!
I’m excited! I did this too. Did you know that? Did you steal from me? Hahah, I hope so. I want to win!
Sure, I’ll enter so you don’t end up looking like a douchebag :)
