This is kind of a wrap up on the week. I had a lot going on, so I’m gonna stuff it all in one big entry.
- I have heat still! Remember when I woke up to 45 degrees? Hopefully that never ever happens again.
- Thank you all for your comments on my quarter life crisis. I read each and every one and took everything said to heart. I am currently working things out and trying to figure out what I truly feel would be best for me.
- We had a successful contest with a fabulous guest post by an up-and-coming author. Check out the winners here.
- Robert Cavalli makes me squeal with glee like a little girl.
- Happy Valentine’s Day! I got beautiful flowers from boyfriend. I will probably post a picture this weekend.
- Tomorrow is a Chicago meet up. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone, especially Jenn and Erin!
- Remember NaBloPoMo? Well they are doing monthly themes to prepare everyone for November this time around. March’s theme will be lists. I will be doing it, because I am already crazy and doing Blog 365. Check it out, should be fun!
Finally, Valentine’s Day took a sad turn yesterday when a former student shot up a class at NIU in DeKalb. He injured many and killed 7, including himself. This is heartbreaking and scary. It hits incredibly close to home, I’ve had friends who have gone there and know some who currently attends school there. My heart goes out to the Huskies, their friends, family and every affected by this horrible tragedy.

Roberto Cavalli seriously made me want to move to Europe and find a sugar daddy…or maybe not a sugar daddy, because that’d be a little gross…maybe just a friendly older man who will compliment me all the time and buy me designer clothes. Shouldn’t be too hard to find, right?
Oh goodness! I had no idea bout the shooting. that’s terrible.
And I am so excited to meet you too!
The shooting was terrible - I don’t know anyone there currently, but I had friends that went there (and both of my parents went there). SCARY stuff.
My love for Project Runway really knows no bounds. Sigh.
I heard about the shooting on the news. Horrible. I pray for all the families.
Have fun at the Chicago blogger meetup!
Lovely list. Looks like you’re getting started extra early for March! :-) And a nice tribute at the end - my admin’s granddaughter goes to NIU, so I was also horrified at the news. I just don’t understand how anyone can think shooting others is the solution.
The shooting is so sad. I feel terribly for the people that are involved, but also for the families involved in the previous school shootings who are forced to relive that event every time this happens. It just sucks all around!
I’m jealous that you have a meet up. And I am happy that you have heat, cause that whole temp messing up thing SUCKS. I had the opposite problem, our air conditioner broke in July, in the south, and it was miserable.
I’m a Hokie, so I certainly understand the feelings associated to the school shooting. It’s not an easy thing to deal with, you know? Ryan Clark, the second person to be murdered, was a co-worker of mine for a year.
It’s weird that almost an entire year has passed since that crazy day.. and it still bothers me to think about. I HATE that my university is synonymous with “worst mass-shooting in the USA ever”
seriously.
yeah, terrible about those shootings. Makes you wonder if you’re ever safe anywhere you are.
I’m really excited about the meet-up. A wee bit nervous because I’m ridiculously shy…but it will be fun. Must remember camera!
I’m glad you’re heat is on and working. Especially with this snow storm we’re supposedly getting tomorrow night.
I saw the NaBloPoMo thing. I think it’s a good idea. I like the themed-months. March is a month of lists I believe. I don’t think I’ll be able to write a list every day…we’ll see if I remember to try once it rolls around :)
Virginia - I will join you on the quest for sugar daddies. Boyfriend won’t mind, as long as I buy him stuff too! haha
Miriam - yes, it’s incredibly sad :(
Erin - We are going to have so much fuuun.
JulyBug - Mine is wavering. I hate this season!
Tiff - I wish you could be there!
Nisla - I know. It’s incredibly cowardly to have to take out people with you. Awful.
Lisa - exactly. I feel horrible for everyone involved and those who went through it elsewhere.
Deutlich - I didn’t know that. I can only imagine how you feel/felt when all of that and now this happened. I’m so sorry.
Chris - Exactly. People shouldn’t be afraid to go to school. Can you blame them now? This is the fourth school related shooting to happen this week.
Jenn - I’m super shy and awkward. We can be shy together haha. Definitely though, cameras are a must!
Hope you have a most fabulous weekend! :)
And can’t wait to see a pic of those flowers…I’m a sucker for pictures of flowers, what can I say? haha.
ah! i have missed so much! i am trying to catch up now!!
have a great weekend - i gave erin my contact info so i’m hoping meeting up later in the evening is IN OUR CARDS.
(DUDE.)
Definitely want to see pics of the flowers. Have a great weekend!
