I finally got out of the house yesterday. I had to run to Target for a “few things”, of course those “few things” ran me about $90. You know how it goes with Target. Well that doesn’t include the stuff I buy for my family now, because my mother can’t be bothered anymore since she is almost home free. That is another entry entirely though, which will be coming soon.
Anyway, I picked up a movie I have been wanting to see for awhile: Paris, je t’aime

I can’t wait to sit down and watch it. Could I be on French movie kick? Seriously. This is obviously the closest I am going to get to Paris, until I either 1) come upon some money somehow or 2) get a real job.
Then of course, boyfriend and I had to hit up the classiest of the classy restaurants, Hooters. Shut up. If you have ever had wings there, you wouldn’t have anything to say. Plus, the cheese fries! Good lord, the cheese fries! Tell me why I go there yesterday and the decide to change things up? This girl brings out these nasty seasoned fries and are most definitely not the carb-y goodness that I go to that place for. Even the jalapeño cheese could not save them from their awfulness. Hooters, you are not my friend until you bring back my french fries and I am AWESOME. You want me as your friend.
After a disappointing meal that left me craving french fries still, we went home where William helped me seperate a big bag of Starbursts into 2 baggies, pinks and reds in one and yellows and oranges in another. I only will eat the pink and reds, him being the amazing boyfriend that he is, takes all the other ones off my hands. That is love, people. He gives up all the pink and red Starbursts for me, when we all know, those are the best! We also started to watch I’m Not There but by 8:30, I was falling asleep. The sickie-ness is still not completely gone. Almost, but not quite. So far, what I have noticed is Cate Blanchett is amazing in it though!
Thank you all for the well wishes and and the new sites to check out. Stuff White People Like is probably the best blog ever. Thanks Erin and CDP for that! Happy Tuesday! Yay for short weeks!

j’adore hooters. (like how I said that en francais?)
And I love the yellow and orange all thanks to my first college roomie who would leave me piles of yellow ones b/c she hated them but was addicted to Starburst. I mean addicted.
You can NEVER run to Target and walk out with the “few things” you were going there for. It’s like a law of physics or something.
Glad you’re feeling better!
(And I make Dave eat all the green gummy bears!)
glad you enjoyed it - i spent part of saturday and part of sunday reading the entire site. and laughing out loud at my computer every 30 seconds.
i’ve been told to check out Paris, Je T’Aime too. and yeah, cate blanchett was pretty awesome in I’m Not There (otherwise, I thought the movie was only okay).
Oh, Target, how I’ve missed it.
Can’t set a foot in the door right now-too dangerous. I have fond memories, though. The Starbucks hot cocoa with whole milk. The twenty dollar brown heels. The sweaters, oh god, the sweaters. PJs. The One-Spot. Cute house stuff. Oh, you’re gonna make me cry!
Target = <3
Cheesy Fries from H00ters = <3 <3 <3
omg. now i wannnnnttt…
How does Target manage to eat all of our money without us realizing it? I swear, I went into Target for a new pair of slippers and came out with slippers, headphones, a photo frame and thank you cards. It’s got to be a marketing ploy or something!
Paris Je´Taime is seriously one of my favorite movies, its just filled with great stories filmed in the most amazing ways. Tell me which one was your fave after you watch it! I watch this movie all the time
There is a Hooters on my street. Seriously. And I’ve never been there! I’ve heard excellent things about their wings (and I am a supreme wing fan) so I plan to check them out one day. P.S. I heart pink Starbursts. My second fav is orange, though.
Cheesy deliciousness and Target, je t’aime!! Bummer about the nasty fries; I hate it when I’m all excited to eat something amazingly bad for me, and then it just isn’t quite right. Glad starbursts came to the rescue!
Paris Je T’Aime makes my top 20. No joke…they essentially tricked out 17 previews (my favorite things) and finished all their thoughts with AWESOME actors and then set it in PARIS. All different personalities and equal parts funny, romantic, tragic and INCREDIBLE. Maybe a little more heavily weighted on the incroyable.
I loved it. Broken English with Parker Posey should go on your list as well…
Aaron and I do the same thing with gummi bears. I only eat the red and green ones. Such gentlemen, they are.
So you did like the movie? I loved Amelie so I will have to check it out. And I’m in agreement- it is impossible to leave Target with “a few things.” They cram way too much cuteness in the store and I always find new things I absolutely need. *Sigh* But I love them anyway.
I saw that movie at Blockbuster the other day and was immediately intrigued. Let me know what you think because I was thinking of renting it.
I wanna see that movie too! Lemme know how it is when ya get a chance
Miriam - For some reason, lately Starbursts are all I want. I never use to be big on them, but a few months ago I just became addicted!
Lacey - Seriously, there must a law or something in the air?
Erin - It’s like comedic gold!
Very Bad Cat - ahaha you are in Target rehab, I see. The withdrawal symptoms are getting to you!
Heidi - Me too, since my sucked
Stephanie - like I said above, something in the air in Target. It has to be.
Chele - Definitely!
Arielle - Get your butt to Hooters ASAP. You won’t regret it!
Magda - I’m addicted!
TKTC - Note taken. Adding it to my list! Thanks!
Slynnro - We got us some good men!
Rachel, Duetlich and Gooseberried - I will have to write about it when I finish it. I will definitely watch it this week!
hooters bugs me b/c they charge extra for their bleu cheese and stuff… and that pisses me off LOL
I saw Paris Je T’aime at Blockbuster and almost rented it. I opted not to since I hadn’t read or heard much about it though. I’ll have to re-add it to my list.
And for the record, I love yellow and orange Starbursts.
I always spend too much in Target, it can rarely be avoided.
And that site, hilarious.
Target - can’t get out of there for under $80.
That man is a keeper. Any man who will let you pick out the good flavors and not ridicule you is a keeper! (The pink and red ones rock! But how come there are always so many fewer pink?)
Glad you are feeling better!
The scene: Target.com
The assailant: Me.
The victim: My wallet, stuffed with my recent bonus
I was good and only (ONLY?) spent $85, including shipping. Also? Stuff White People Like is pretty much the funniest blog ever. AND TRUE.
Target is my downfall. I avoid going until I know I need $90 worth of goods, because as you said, I’m going to spend that much anyway! Let me know how you like the rest of the movie - I think I have it in my Netflix queue!
I separate my starburst the same way. I wish they would just sell them like that!
red and pink starbursts definitely are the best! Paris, Je T’aime is next in my netflix queue so I would love to see a post about what you think of it!
hooters is one of my all-time favorite restaurants. seriously, i adore their hot wings.
red starbursts are sooo goooood…
am now off to check out “stuff white people like,” because apparently it’s a blog that a lot of bloggers like.
I always end up spending a million dollars at Target too.. It doesnt help that I can walk to Target from my apartment. Boo.
I will never understand how people can actually like Hooters food. Ew. I used to work there, and ew.
First of all– I love Hooter’s wings. I just put myself on this diet and I may have to break it because I read your blog and your blog mentioned Hooter’s wings. THANKS A LOT!
Also, I have to put myself on a budget when I go to Target. I think most people can relate to that. It’s the $10 DVDs that get me, I think.
Finally, I found Stuff White People Like yesterday and I wasted my whole day reading it. I must be one of the whitest people alive. Whole Foods? Check. Dogs? Check. Expensive sandwiches? Check. Vegetarianism? FAIL.
I really want to see that movie too! I have the Science of Sleep at home right now… its French too, but I haven’t watched it yet.
I’ve never been to Hooters, but I’ve heard the food is fab. Ha!
love everything in the title of this post and no i’m not afraid to admit it. freshman year in college, my friends and i went to hooters every friday for dinner. then i think the food started burning holes in my stomach lining because now if i eat hooters i feel sick afterwards. this realization lead to a lot of unhappiness. and paris is the bomb (who even says that anymore?). you gotta get out there. and target is like a secret lover that you just can’t quit. i try to leave, or use restraint when in there and it just ends up making everything worse and i leave the store $400 poorer.
sigh.
I love out of the ordinary movies like these to watch by myself with a good glass of wine. I’ll have to put this on my list!
