Remember that big, exciting news?

February 24th, 2008 at 3:17 pm . Posted in Edie, puppies .

Here she is!

This is my new puppy, Edie!

She was born December 17th. She is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. I picked her up from the breeder today and I’m in love. She just barked at me for the first time while I’m writing this. She loves to play and chew on her toys, my hands or my hair. Edie also has to be on top of me whenever I do something. It took forever for me to start this post because she kept trying to climb on my MacBook. She just fell asleep next to me on my bed. She’s so freaking cute. I can’t even stand it!

More pictures after the jump!

    Well she’s just precious.

(Is she by any chance named after the song “Edie (Ciao Baby)” by The Cult? I love that song… Or perhaps the Kennedy cousin Edie Beale of Grey Gardens?)

    Holy. Crap.

That puppy is so cute I have to use profanity to describe it.

In semi-related news, my puppy chewed a hole in the wall today.

Enjoy her before she gets her big girl teeth!

AHHHHHHH SO CUTE! When I lived in suburbia, and was like, 12, my neighbor who was like, 60, got a corgi puppy and would pay my sister and I to play with it every day during the summer and wear it out to it would pass out in the house.

Get ready for lots and lots of this dog running around in circles.

Hello! I just got a Pembroke Corgi puppy in January at 10 weeks old. His name is Butters and he is GREAT! He is growing up really well and doing such a wonderful job in training and housebreaking. He looks a lot like your Corgi pup (red/white). Congrats!

omgoodness… I actually INHALED audibly in a oh.my.dear.sweet.lord.look.at.that.puppy…. kind of way.
Mine’s a labrador. He’s three. I washed him today in my fancy dog wash trailer (it pays most of the bills). I miss him being a puppy. Love him now because I can give him big bear hugs, but they’re so adorable when they’re puppies. I’ve got almost a full photobox of photos of him. There’s more pictures of him on my photoboards than there are of my niece and nephew.
But it’s eyes like that, that remind me why on earth I spend my days smelling like wet dog…
    she’s beeeautiful!

Corgi puppies are about as cute as it gets. It’s something about the big ears and the fluff, I think.

Edie is beautiful–good luck trying to leave the house over the next few months! My puppy (here’s a pic, because I’m sure you can relate to that intense, burning need to share puppy pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/laurenmcmahon/1714825871/in/set-72157602433815135/) just turned 8 mos. old and I am FINALLY getting to the point where I am not coming to work an hour late and leaving an hour early just because I can’t bear to leave him in the morning and can’t wait to be back home with him! Actually, I still feel that way, but people at work are starting to notice :-)
