
I’ve been pretty much maintaining the same weight, give or take a few pounds, since December when I went to Vegas. While the number was far from ideal, I wasn’t really mad at it. I don’t like it and still think it is too high, but it could have been worse. The past two weeks, I have really been indulging myself and telling myself it was okay because my birthday was coming up. Today I got on the scale and saw a number I was definitely not okay with, only a few pounds up but still, not good.
Starting today, I’m now back in lose weight mode. I have a trip to Florida in June and I would like to look acceptable in a swimsuit. So I’m back to watching my intake, daily weigh ins and elliptical every day I can fit it in. Also, now that the weather is actually starting to feel like spring and getting warmer, Edie and I will be taking a long walk once a day. I’m cutting out pop (soda, for your weird people!) completely and drinking tons of water. More protein, less carbs. All the little things like that will make a big difference.
So time to get in to shape. No bullshit. No excuses. Let’s do this - the right way.

I hear ya sister (though from pictures I’ve seen of you, I’m pretty sure you’re a petite gal). At least now that the weather is starting to warm up, we can get our butts outside to workout (or not, but at least be out there). Good luck!
here’s the thing, it isn’t about your weight, but i’m sure the number you saw, which i’m positive wasn’t horrible, was a snap back into the reality of how you’re really treating your body. you totally nailed it with your plans! here’s a tip, lots of fruits and vegetables, i assure you they’re not boring! also keep in mind that meat is one of the hardest things for your body to break down.
i’m on a bettering myself kick right now, too. it’s day 4. i’ve been to the gym 3 out of the 4 days-oh elipitcal machine, bless your heart or power cord or what not-and the other day i did yoga. i’m also on a fast, but that is a whole different ball game.

good luck! im a “once a week only” weigher-inner. keeps me from getting too hung up on the .3 lbs that WASNT THERE YESTERDAY! and when you see results they come in bigger chunks which is just wonderful :)

I’m with you. It’s officially “be less squishy in time for summer” time.
I lost like four pounds in a week on my Jelly Bean diet. Of course it’s not healthy and your way is a million times better, but I feel your pain. I agree about the water, though, soda and juices are so high in calories it’s ridiculous. I refuse to waste good calories on something you drink that isn’t coffee or chocolate related.

We can totally support each other - I just started my “revamp” on Monday, and even though I’m thinking about peanut butter cups, I’m eating salad. And also trying not to move too much because all sorts of things hurt from yesterday’s workout.

just don’t get your wisdom teeth out right before vaca.. cos dental surgery and gym does not make for a cute relationship for running a few pounds off before vaca :( but whatever I’m gonna shake what my mamma gave me in mexico anyways
I totally decided to start doing this today too! I even started an online food journal! Woot!
Too funny, I just started the same sort of cycle last week when I almost got roped into a last minute trip to Palm Springs. Ohjeezcrap summer is coming. Time to work of the “Winter Ass.” I’m with you girl!!

good for you, losing weight the “right way” and not panicking (too much). obviously i hate how women concern themselves with weight, but it’s inevitable, i suppose, and you sound like you are healthy about it - so good luck!!
I’m with you! I got a cute new red bikini for this summer, but it’ll prove worthless if I don’t get my butt back in shape.. uh, literally. :) Good ideas on how to get back in shape, I’m gonna have to try it

I’m definitely with you on this. During spring break, I indulged myself and recently tried on a new pair of pants to find they didn’t fit at all. :/
My goal is just to live a healthier lifestyle. Walk some. Eat better (and definitely avoid carbs). And look cuter overall.

Go you! I think you’re bEEutEEfOOl but I think it’s great you want to be healthier. Whatever makes you feel good! Try using a multi-vitamin if you’re not already. We’re gonna be so hot in SF ! And not because we won’t have AC haha!

I started last week, and I must say that I have much farther to go than that chick in the photo. I am happy with my efforts and results so far. I try not to weigh every day, but it is so hard. Good luck!

hey girl! I put myself on a toning program, lol. I don’t really need weight loss but I have a flabby tummy from post-baby. I also plan to be in shape for my trip. To Florida. In June!!!

–Where in Florida are you going? As for watching the weight, cutting out the soda is a very, very good idea (just in general…I felt like a different person after I cut it out). If you’re serious about maintaining a really healthy lifestyle, read Skinny Bitch. It’s an amazing book, and it changed the way I looked at eating, drinking, just living my life. I hear ya woman! My sister is getting married in July and I’m the M.O.H. Why couldn’t I have known this more than 8 months in advance. Say two years?! lol I have enough to lose it would take that long to look h-o-t I swear :) I’ve been working out but take some advice–drink at least 32 ounces of water an hour to half an hour before you workout. If I don’t the world spins when I kick it up a notch and I feel like I’m going to hit the floor. The doctor did an EKG on me today (sticky pads on my ankles and around my boobie–oh goodness) and I’m fine. Just dehydrated when I workout I guess. Want to do this together?!?!
Do you need to lose weight or tone? Because you may actually get tone and feel like you lost weight, but will feel heavier. Muscle is quite heavy.

It’s okay. We’ve all been there. I had one of those moments yesterday morning myself. So last night I went for a little run to feel better about myself. I hate being upset about weight.
Excuse me, I have to go tape a picture of me in my bikini last year to my fridge. It was not pretty. I’m with you- no bullshit- it’s time to get serious.

If you want to loose weight. Cut out ALL sugars, dairy and try to limit carbs.
Personally for modeling I got lucky with genes. But I stil run like hell and in full honesty if I feel like Im bloated or gained a pound I will skip a meal and drink water. COLD water….bottles of it. That and I will suck on a Peppermint…..helps the cravings. And also if you ignore the 1st RRRR’s of your stomach chances are they weren’t hunger pains only a false alarm. Gd reason as to why America is so ridiculously over weight…..if you need any more advice…..just hit me up! ;) Good luck, but I am more then sure you are simply beautiful!
