Edie went to the dog park for the first time today. It was pretty chilly when we got there so not many pups were out. There was a black lab and a boxer there when got there and, of course, my sissy dog was scared. We played at the opposite end of the dog run because she was kind of overwhelmed. Hopefully next week will be nicer and we can make a trip to Wicker Park dog park.

When I was dropping William off we decided it was time for Edie and his dog, Kimmy to meet each other. They did surprisingly well. Kimmy howled a lot which Edie didn’t like, but they will get better with time!

I didn’t bust out my camera, but boyfriend snapped a few with his iPhone so that’s what we got! Next time I will take more.

That second picture up is my fav, with Edie standing at your feet. Way to be a protective mother!
My dog is a bit of a chicken as well, but it is fun to watch him “guard the perimeter” of the dog park. I do love me some beagles, but they howl something fierce!
Calvin has gotten a lot better now that I take him in high-dog-traffic areas on a regular basis. I don’t know when it officially changed but it has been a lot nicer for everyone.
so cute!!!!
DC doesn’t have any real dog runs
that makes ellie sad…dogs need to run!
Oh, I think I just might die. I love absolutely NOTHING more than beagles…so those photos just made my day
Awwww…so cute! Edie will get used to it in time. My little guy was super overwhelmed by the dog park the first few times.
Aww, so cute. I wish we had a dog park around here.
I can’t take wally to the dog park.. .he’s way too frightened of other dogs… I’m trying to socialise him slowly. Edie’s gotten soooo big, though! She’s gorgeous!
she has the cutest PAWS, these giant cuddly soft paws.
Edie *so* needs her own MySpace. She is too cute!
Cute cute cute! love love love!
Not gonna lie, I am crazy jealous that your boyfriend has an iPhone. One day I will get one, one day.
Cute pictures!
Duff does not do well at dog parks. He’s quite the sissy boy. Edie is so cute!
I love dogs, so much! They’re always so cute and friendly. And they know JUST how to cheer people up! My dog Nellie, though, is too rowdy (she’s well-intentioned, but she gets too excited) for a dog park!
Do dog parks in Chicago smell as horrendous as they do in New York??
Aww I love the picture where she’s sitting at your feet checking out the other puppy. Adorable. I want. =)
Lucy heard another dog bark when we FINALLY got our walk to extend more than 10 feet of the yard and she just bolted for the gate. The only dogs she is not afraid of are other corgis!
*luvs for Edie*
Aw nothing cuter than corgis and beagles!
Rufus was intimidated the first time we visited the dog park, but after a few trips he quickly decided that he was the biggest, toughest dog in the place. I bet Edie will grow to love it too.
That iPhone takes awesome pictures!
She might be a sissy, but she’s an ADORABLE sissy! And that’s what counts.
so I just posted about taking Jack to the dog run too.
WE HAVE THE SAME BRAIN.
Very cute! You have such a sweet dog! And I’m a little intimidated by the dog park…What if another dog attacks your dog or something crazy like that.
Aw they are so cute. Love love love it.
edie is adorable!!!
It looks like you guys had a blast. So cute.
the dp (dog owner language) is the BEST for socializing puppies.. they learn not to spaz out around other dogs. plus its awesome seeing your dog smiling and running around cos they think its the best place on earth!
Aww, the dog park! It looks like a lot of fun, even if Edie was a little scared. It’ll get better!
I wish I could take Chester to the park, but he gets scared and either tries to nip at dogs he is afraid of or he just cowers on the ground and lets them all lick his winky. LOL Goodness. So we go to enclosed baseball diamonds to let him run off some energy. At the age of 3 1/2 he still is like a puppy. I love that about him. Edie is just adorable
