Friday wrap up

I’ve had the longest week ever! I’ve been in bed early every night and I’m pretty exhausted. Today is far from over but I definitely deserve my weekend. My brain is so scattered right now, I don’t think I can even form coherent blog post so this is going to be kind of random.

First off, gas? Fucking sucks. It cost me $40 and that barely got me a little over half a tank. WTF

What’s going on around the bloggy world?

The lovely Lauren at Elle Electric is newly engaged! Read her adorable story and tell her congrats!

Did you happen to catch that edition of cribs when that adorable Canadian shows off his new house?

Happy Bloggiversary Ohmygoshi!

Renee is graduating! Go leave her some love for all the hard work she’s done.

Contests, contests, contests. If you haven’t won a pay it forward contest yet, you’re not looking hard enough! These things are popping up everywhere. Jenn is making you draw stuff in paint to win. Hazel is asking for your favorite meal to cook. Leave Arielle a comment here to enter her contest. Seriously, that is three contests right there, I know there are more but I just can’t think of them off the top of my head. What are you waiting for?!

Okay, that is a tenth of what is happening in the blog world, it’s all I can remember off hand. Give me a break though, it’s been a long week! I’ll be more prepared next time.

Have any weekend plans? I’m planning on finally catching up on my reader, mailing out some stuff, puppy park, a little shopping and a friend’s birthday celebration.

What about you?

I have a wedding to go to this weekend in DC! It’s Adam’s friend from college. Should be all sorts of awkward since his ex-girlfriend (who he dated for like, 4.5 years) will be there with her new boyfriend. Hoorah!

I’m having a yard sale! Whee!

Hoorah! The weekend!

*sigh* sleeping in, spending time, wanting more.

Can’t wait.

Girly party. My friend’s husband is in Iraq and it’s their anniversary this Saturday, so we’re taking her out. Don’t want her to be alone on her anniversary. :)

Running errands, running errands, running errands!

Riveting!

I’m so glad I live in a city where I don’t have to pay gas. Just $80/month for subway pass. Phew.

I am tired as well. Plan on trying to do as little as possible this weekend. :)

Today:
1. Friday lunch with the BFFs.
2. Drinks and dinner for B’s birthday.
Tomorrow:
3. Picking rock up on the side of the interstate with WH.
4. Weeding the garden (will take 6 years, btw)
5. Laundry, bathrooms, kitty litter.
6. Clean up screened in porch.
Sunday:
1. Whatever the hell I want, nothing that I don’t.

Totally with you on gas suckage. My little car gets 33 mpg, and holds 12 gal, and I prepaid $35 (no one lets you pay after anymore, and i don’t blame them), and STILL didn’t get a full tank. Highway Robbery. Literally.

Awwww…blog love. You’re so cute!

I’m developing my own business brand over the next few weeks so I’ll be perusing some design elements. Whooo!

Oh…and finally pulling together my blogswap/payitforward junk that I forgot about completely.

Thank you so much, Jamie!

It’s been a rotten week! This weekend I plan to take out all my pent-up aggression by ripping down the drywall in the basement to find out where the leak is.

And gas prices?

I have no plans as far as I know for the weekend. I’ll probably catch up on some of my web projects, but otherwise, I think it’s supposed to rain tomorrow anyway, so eh, indoors it is.

I don’t drive, but I sympathize with the drivers. In NY, gas is upwards to $4.15 a gallon for regular. The best thing about living in large cities is that there’s the option of public transportation. While it isn’t 100% reliable (sometimes, it’s not even 75% reliable), it’s proven that it’s cheaper.

I just hope to relax, that’s about it for me.

We’re taking my son to the zoo for the first time tomorrow! That’s about as exciting as I get, lol

I am having a SUPER long week too because we are swamped at work, and in fact my weekend plans include a lot more work. UGH. But also a graduation party of a friend tonight and dinner with another friend tomorrow. So not too awful.
