I never really had lots of close friends. I’m a little guarded, I guess you can say. I’m okay with that. Although, sometimes I do wish I had a close knit group of girlfriends ala Sex and the City. Maybe that is probably just because I have been nothing but that for the past two-ish weeks. (yeah, I totally finished the whole thing yesterday!)
Anyway, today one of my best friends leaves for school for 18 months. My sister. She will be attending a school for make up and special effects just outside Pittsburgh. Any blog friends out that way? You should take care of my little sister.
We will be visiting soon.

I hope she has a great time out there! You, my dear, can be my honorary sister since I never really had one. Well, I do have a half-sister out there somewhere because my dad is a man whore - but she doesn’t count since I never met her.

OMG! I *live* in PIttsburgh. I’m not actually from here, but I live here now. It’s a nice city, I’m sure she’ll like it. I have 2 sisters, one is 20 and annoying. too much like me, I guess, so we can never get through a conversation without arguing. plus, she lives 3000 miles away. *sigh* and the other sister lives 5 minutes away- and SHE is the one that’s too guarded. I never know what she’s thinking, so I don’t feel safe opening up to her. Maybe you and I could be sisters. haha! I need some SATC sister ASAP!

Yay for finishing SATC! I had the same yearning for girlfriends like they have in the show after I finished watching all of them. But like you I don’t really open up that much

my little sister and i are besties. i don’t know what i’d do without her. she went away to school in philly and never came back, she live in NYC now working in photography. but the thing is, even though they move away it just binds the sisterly bond even more.
and, visiting is uber fun!
Pittsburgh gal born and raised! I love it here… and don’t plan on leaving any time soon. Is she going to the Art Institute?

I was so sad when my sister moved far away. It did bring us much closer and she is coming to visit this month. I am so excited. But it is hard and I miss her all the time. Take care

My sis has certainly been my best friend, and leaving her to move to Houston was terribly difficult. However, email and telephone have kept us going.
My sis and I were never close enough to be best friends. We’re so much alike that we hated each other half the time growing up - how’s that for self-loathing?

I am the same way as far as friends goes. Of course, having a baby changes things. I have only one best friend now whom I see maybe once every couple of months. Sad, huh? It’s actually the way I like it. My family is more important to me as far ass me devoting my time.
Aw… I miss my sister. She lives way too far away.

Is it Tom Savini’s school? I think I know which one you mean. Pittsburgh is a great city, it doesn’t get as much credit as it should. Let me know if she ever needs anything! I’m sorta from that neck of the woods.
