As you can see from that little badge over there to the right, that I am volunteering at BlogHer this year. Being the broke ass that I am, once I heard they were looking for volunteers, I begged and pleaded until they like “Dude, you’re in. Just shut up”. So yes, I will be at there working my booty off, hoping I don’t screw up and make them regret their decision of giving me a little power.
That’s right, I said power. I’m like the BlogHer bouncer or desk sentinel, as Sizzle so lovingly refers to us as. Attendees have to go through me to get in.
Yes, that’s right.
Me.
Don’t have passes? Tell me my hair looks pretty or have candy and you might just be able to get in. I’m a sucker for Starbursts, but don’t you even think about bringing me orange and yellow ones!
Okay, not really. I lied. I won’t be able to do that, but still, feel free to tell me my hair looks pretty!
My partner in crime and I will be kicking ass and taking names all weekend long. Okay, I lied again. I will more than likely be staring, mouth gaping at my favorite bloggers like a big loser and creeping them out because I will be super intimidated.
Anyway, anyone else going? Live in San Francisco? Been there? What should I do? I already have one offer for a tour guide du jour and I could not be more thrilled!

Holy Sweetness! I’ll be there! .. bundle up, it can be a little chilly in the mornings and evenings!
I second the bundling up…it’s colder than you expect for the middle of summer!
You should definitely walk across the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s creepy as hell, but fun. Also, the Alcatraz tour was pretty sweet.
Wow, I’m such a tourist
Oh, that sounds fun. Hope you have a great time!
Bundle up?! Well that’s crappy. I don’t want to be cold during summer!
I’ll be nervous right along with you J-Love. Living blogging Dooce’s keynote might make me pee my pants.
I hope I will remember to bring candy then. will chocolate do as well?
It’ll be GREAT to meet you. SF is a rockin’ city and BH should be a blast.
You’re gonna have so much fun in San Francisco! First time visiting?? I’m from the area (kinda) and was in the City just last night having dinner with one of my longest friends! Definitely check out fisherman’s wharf, chinatown, downtown, Alcatraz, the Exploratorium…. Man, I could go ON AND ON with what you guys should do! How long are you staying?
*jealous*
One of my favorite bloggers is speaking there!
*still jealous*
*envy*
You American bloggers get to do all the coolest things.
Why don’t you come over to the UK. We rock.
so jealous yet so very excited for you, you are going to rock out blogher like no other.
they don’t know how the awesomeness of the double trouble that is coming at them!
Yesss. See you there! Not there, as in walking past you to get into the conference there, but there as in, I will be there, loitering about and taking way too many pictures.
I love SF! I hope you have an excellent time and do a bit of sight seeing. There’s a ton of stuff to do there. I tend to make my friends go off the beaten path but the touristy stuff is fun too
I’m so excited you’ll be there. Granted I’m being sent up there for work it doesn’t mean I can’t have fun and hang out with fabulous bloggers like you
Oh please! You BETTER come say hello and also come to my cheeseburger party on Saturday night. (But, you have to come introduce yourself in order to know the time and place. See how I am?)
Hooray! This sounds like loads of fun. I also expect pictures of you acting at the gatekeeper posted on your blog sometime after this event is over. Enjoy San Fran and make sure you see the new Batman movie while you’re out there for God’s sake!!
Oh very nice! I’m looking forward to reviews!
Blogher is sexist!
Oooh, I can’t wait to meet you in person!
that’s pretty darn cool!
godspeed in your new endeavors, blog maven.
yay!! can’t wait!
Nice one :)!
Be sure to take pics and watchout for the random addicts!
Oh I’m so there and I will so be drinking (in moderation) myself. It’s fun time.
I’m going! And I know NOTHING of San Francisco. That probably won’t change after this trip unfortunately.
Excellent! Now I won’t have to go looking for you to say hi. I cannot wait to meet everyone.
When I lived there I was but a poor, Top Ramen eating college student, so sadly I have no good recommendations for the town. No, wait, I do: if you can, go out to the Beach Chalet, at the end of Golden Gate Park. It’s a restaurant & microbrewery that makes fantastic beer.
Oh, and if you meet any single blogging female hikers, feel free to pass ‘em a link to me. *wink*
I’ll see you there and try not to forget the Starbursts! I hate the yellow ones too.
Sounds like fun! I wish that I was going, but I would so intimidated too. Maybe next year…
Y’all are going to have so much fun! And if I were there, I would be gaping awkwardly at my fave bloggers, too.
I’m not going but I’m so jealous. SFO is great! Have a blast!
I love BlogHer. I can’t wait to hear more about everything that is going on.
Tell me how much fun you have and how many awesome old and new bloggers you meet so I can envy you!!!
