Tyra does something for someone else?

Today on The Tyra Banks Show, she will be surprising Isis with a sexual reassignment surgery. Isis is from Cycle 11 and was the first transgendered contestant on America’s Next Top Model. The only reason she hasn’t be able to make the full transition is because the surgery costs $20,000-30,000.

Tyra will not be paying for the surgery but introduces her to Dr. Marci Bowers, a leading gender reassignment surgeon who has experienced the surgery herself. Bowers will be paying for the surgery.

But you know Tyra will totally take credit somehow.

Cycle 13 prediction: Tyra lecturing the models on how she performed a sex change surgery when she first started modeling at 15.

* But really, good for Isis. She’s been wanting this a long time.

Wow, that is so amazing for Isis! It was sad to see her leave ANTM, because it seemed like although she was mostly confident in who she was, there were still self-esteem issues that held her back.

And yeah, Tyra is totes going to take the credit. :p

Oh, and while I was looking for dogs, I came across a male Edie, and I thought about you. And he’s totally still a viable option at this point

I loved this post! It’s true about Tyra, she will find credit somehow. At least Isis will get to have the surgery done and feel whole and I suppose that’s all that matters.

I can’t believe she’s actually doing something nice for someone else… but either way it’s awesome!

Tyra is so ridiculous. But I keep coming back for more.

Oh Tyra…. At least Isis can finally be a chick. I mean, she looked more like a chick than some of the other people on this cycle. (I’m looking at you Nikeysha.)

Aw yay, I’m glad she’s doing this for Isis, I liked her a lot on ANTM. But I agree, Tyra will totally use this as a modeling life lesson on the next cycle. Seriously, her stories get more and more ridiculous every year. And the show now seems to be more about her then the actual contestants…

I still love it though. Big finale tomorrow!

tyra tyra tyra……this will now somehow come up in every following season of ANTM. she kills me. literally a little bit of me dies on the inside when i hear her speak…..but i just can’t stop watching!

So…. here’s how it will go:

Tyra: Isis, we are going to pay for your transformation to a female.

Isis: Oh Tyra! Thank you!

Tyra: Of course. You know, you remind me of myself when I was your age. Beautiful, strong and ready to take over the world. Did I mention that you remind me of me? And that I was the first black model on the cover of Sports Illustrated? And that I will someday be the next Oprah after she retires? But really Isis, I’m so happy for you. You remind me of me.

And yes, Jamie. John Mayer is a creep.

That’s so cool! Good for Tyra!

I absolutely can’t stand Tyra’s talk show. But this is really nice of her, to introduce Isis to a doctor who not only will do the surgery, but for free. Happy for Isis.

Definitely good for Isis. When she started the show, she was so badass. So confident, so strong. As the cycle wore on, it became apparent how feeling like a woman while having the parts of a man, in an industry such as modelling, really started getting to her. She is a gorgeous woman, and can be an incredibly positive role model for other girls out there striving to find and embrace their own identities.

Tyra, on the other hand, is trying far too hard to become the next Oprah.

ooooh i thought tyra was paying for it. but heck i totally agree she’ll take credit somehow, that crazy woman. but woo for isis.

She just put the two ends together!!! Why would she take credit for that? Oh, yeah. She’s Tyra Banks, the girl who *insert tons of BS here including how she lived with 9 other models*.

Good for Isis, I know this is something that she really wants. Regarding Tyra she loves get publicity off other people- whatever she is so annoying.

That’s really great for Isis though. I heard about her but I hadn’t seen her on the show.
I am wondering however if Dr. Bower is the same doctor featured on this show that comes on WeTV.

It’s a sex change show. I should look it up.
