Dude, this year flew by. I can’t believe it’s already over. I figured I needed to write some goals for 2009. I’m not going to say resolutions. I like goals better!
- Travel somewhere new. In 2008, it was San Francisco for BlogHer. Where will 2009 lead me?
- Finally lose the weight I’ve been wanting to get off. Stop talking and start doing.
- No more nail biting.
- Work hard to make this internship a success.
- Be a better friend, daughter, girlfriend/whatever, sister.
- Learn more about social media, personal branding and blogging – attend conferences, web seminars, meet ups and network. Learn how I can take my hobbies and interests and sculpt it into a career. Learn, learn, learn.
I’ll be having dinner and hanging out with one of my bestest friends tonight to celebrate NYE. I won’t be getting a kiss at midnight (unless Jenn tries to sneak attack me) since the boy is djing but I’m perfectly content with my plans!

Tonight I will be going to my BFF’s party. All my friends will be there. I won’t get a kiss either, but I’m ok with it. Hopefully there will be dancing.
I think my goal for 2009 is to be more adventurous.

I agree with Renee…let’s stick with calling them goals.
Mine :
- Travel to somewhere new (I’m not a copycat, I swear). I’ll be going to Wisconsin the weekend before MLK day so I’ll start the year off right.
- Finish at least one craft / art project per month
- Work out in some capacity at least 4 times per week.
- Reconnect with old friends.
- Try at least one new recipe per week.
I have a huge list but those are the top!

I think that I’d love to try your last one too… Taking hobbies & interests and making them into a career sounds like a sure fire way to make sure that your job doesn’t feel like a job!

2008 did fly by! Crazy how quick it goes when you’re busy trying to live your life, ha. Great goals!! I’d set some for myself, but considering I’m bad with lists/resolutions/etc., I prefer the blank slate of just seeing where the year takes me.

Yeah, I decided not to do New Year’s resolutions but to integrate the 101 in 1001 thing. I think things are more do-able when you have almost 3 years to do them.
