This is kind of a wrap up on the week. I had a lot going on, so I’m gonna stuff it all in one big entry.

- I have heat still! Remember when I woke up to 45 degrees? Hopefully that never ever happens again.

- Thank you all for your comments on my quarter life crisis. I read each and every one and took everything said to heart. I am currently working things out and trying to figure out what I truly feel would be best for me.

- We had a successful contest with a fabulous guest post by an up-and-coming author. Check out the winners here.

- Robert Cavalli makes me squeal with glee like a little girl.

- Happy Valentine’s Day! I got beautiful flowers from boyfriend. I will probably post a picture this weekend.

- Tomorrow is a Chicago meet up. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone, especially Jenn and Erin!

- Remember NaBloPoMo? Well they are doing monthly themes to prepare everyone for November this time around. March’s theme will be lists.  I will be doing it, because I am already crazy and doing Blog 365. Check it out, should be fun!

Finally, Valentine’s Day took a sad turn yesterday when a former student shot up a class at NIU in DeKalb. He injured many and killed 7, including himself. This is heartbreaking and scary. It hits incredibly close to home, I’ve had friends who have gone there and know some who currently attends school there. My heart goes out to the Huskies, their friends, family and every affected by this horrible tragedy.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed google reader is lagging? My own feed doesn’t update for hours and hours. I’m sure other people’s blogs are showing up late too. What’s the point of having google reader if it’s faster to just go through my blogroll?

Google, you’re slacking.

ETA: I posted this at 11:30AM and it is now 3:57PM, this entry has yet to show up in my reader. So ridiculous.

I’m kind of dumbfounded.

I honestly didn’t think I would win my category. Thanks so much to those of you who nominated and voted for me. You guys are awesome! This completly made my day/week/month…whatever. I’m thrilled!

Yesterday was ridiculous. I left at 7:30 AM and didn’t get home until 9:30. I got to math to find out we have a test Wednesday which means I will have to study all night.  I had quite a few people (in class and even in my comments!) explain irrational and rational numbers to me, but yet, I still don’t completely get it. I get the idea of it, but just figuring it out, is the hard part. I hate fractions. They should be illegal. It doesn’t help that the girls who I study with are kind of lost on it too. Did I mention that one of them has my exact same name? Jamie (insert Hispanic last name)? Exactly. I’ve never met another person with my last name, let alone my first and last name spelled the exact same way.

I then went to get my TB skin test and gritted the whole time, you would have thought they were stabbing me repeatedly, when really it was a small poke. I hate shots. I have to go back Thursday to make sure I don’t have TB and then back Monday to get the second step. Tomorrow I have a physical and possibly more shots if my doctor feels I need them, which I’m praying he just waives.

I got back to school at around 1:30 and studied for my gigantic test at 3:30. Thank you for all your smarts and luck! I think I did pretty well. I over studied a lot of stuff I thought would be focused on more and understudied a few other things. Go figure. I still think I did okay. We will find out on Wednesday. My professor then decided, “Hey, after racking your brain for the test, I’m going to go over 9 new chapters and keep you hear until 9:00″, she wanted to do more but we basically would have rioted had she tried.  The woman with the baby voice, for some reason decides to tell us that she has been dreaming about this class. What? Seriously. Go away. You’re creepy and your voice and inane comments and questions make me want to stab my eyes out.

Walking in the door, I find out Mother Dearest is talking to her lawyer. Things are about to get so messy at home, it’s not even funny. Plus she is been acting like everything is fine, which it obviously is not. My sister and I haven’t spoken to her in over a month and she is walking around all smiles. Well, whatever, as long as she is happy, right?

I have a ton of emails to return, google reader to catch up on and math homework. I will write something a little less whiny and ranty soon enough. I have all those questions to answer too!

Jess is awesome. She was incredibly patient with me, I know I had to be annoying. I’m so picky and particular, but she came up with something that was what I wanted to a T! She does Blogger AND Wordpress designs. She can do a whole package, just a header, whatever you want! Go check her out.

 

I’m at a loss for what to write today and don’t really feel like it anyway. I don’t want to fail at Blog 365 just yet. I got the idea from Lacey.

The other day I got a surprising email from the lovely Lisa informing me I am a finalist for the 20 Something Blogger Awards. I was nominated by the fabulous Lisa from The Lisa Show for Most Likeable. I don’t know who/if anyone else nominated me also for that, but if you did, thank you! My blog is still a baby, I only started writing in October, but like I said before, I’ve gotten nothing but love from the bloggy world since then and I’m surprised it’s gotten to where it has today!

On a completely unrelated note, I just wanted to say hi to the Sanjaya (yeah, the dude with the hair from American Idol) fans who are now visiting my blog! Who knew using “ponyhawk” to describe a models hair in my Project Runway recap would cause linkage from the Official Sanjaya Fansite message board?

I kinda updated my blogroll. It’s hard to keep up with what I have on Google Reader and here. If I regularly comment on your blog and don’t have you on my blogroll, comment and let me know.
