Obviously there will be spoilers, don’t read if you haven’t see the movie. Duh.

Always eager to protect their fans, the cast of the “Sex and the City” movie and writer/director Michael Patrick King went to extraordinary lengths to keep much of the film’s plot a secret. Now that the movie has hit theaters, here are some interesting tidbits about what didn’t make it into the film, and more.

weekend of movies

This weekend was something else. Seriously. So Friday as I mentioned before, my favorite Jenn and I went to go see Made of Honor.

We drove around some suburbs to the theatre and I think I barely missed ending up at crime scene number two. The movie was cute, predictable but cute. My company was better. We had yummy Portillo’s and some Icees.

Saturday didn’t go as planned due to World War III erupting in my household, that is another post though. I ended up getting the biggest most giant sundae ever though. It was ridiculous and good. I probably gained 3 pounds.

Finally Sunday, I was able to see the boyfriend and we decided a movie was in order. Iron Man, to be exact. I really liked it. A lot. Definitely go see it. Did you guys that seen it stay after the credits for the little extra? I did!

Then because William puts up with my girly whims, he let me watch the cast of Sex and The City on Oprah that I begged him to DVR for me Thursday and then followed that up with 27 Dresses that he bought me earlier in the week. What a good boyfriend.

Today I am at work. How was your weekend?

important ramblings

- I finally seen The Darjeeling Limited. I loved it. You should see it if you haven’t.

- Miley Cyrus is really annoying. Of course, people are going to get all worked up over a photo of her backless, covered with a sheet, a head of touseled hair and pouty lips. She’s 15 years old has millions of fans that are practically babies. I don’t care who shot it, they (Disney, Vanity Fair, her people, parents, etc.) had to have known it wouldn’t be well received  - artsy or not. I couldn’t careless honestly, but I’m just sick of seeing it as *BREAKING NEWS*! If by miracle you haven’t heard about this or seen the picture, Jenn has it up on her blog. What do you think?

- I’m going to Florida in a month and a half! Time to step up the dieting and exercise game. Seriously. I need to look hot for Mickey Mouse. Ew that sounds dirty.

- I slept horribly last night. I woke up and felt like I had just went to sleep. Then I get to work and the kids have colds. Awesome. I love those little germ magnets, but they better not get me sick.

- This weekend I get to see my favorite blogger BFF! We always have an awesome time when we go out. We are kind of ridiculous so look out Chicago.

- Final word on Bright Light, Big Ass? Not thrilled on it and had to kind of push myself through it. Loved Bitter is the New Black though. I definitely recommend the latter. I’m hoping her new book is more like Bitter. Next up is Eat Pray Love. Heard some mixed reviews so I had to check it out myself.

I think that is it. Pretty sure I will be taking a nap when the kids go down this afternoon. I’m exhausted.

Does anyone know if mailing gift cards require extra postage? I still need to get to the post office to mail the three gift cards to the winners from my contest because I fail at life. I just don’t know if it would be fine with a regular stamp or if it’s more. I’ve never mailed out one before. Help meee.

Also, does anyone have any tips on getting pups to stop nipping so much? Edie gets very excited and likes to chew, bite and nip. My hands are so scratched up from her sharp little teeth! I tell her No! but she is still a 10 week old puppy, so she doesn’t listen very well. I’m planning on signing her up for puppy classes in the next few weeks. My puppy is going to Kindergarten!

Tomorrow, I will be announcing another contest. I need some help with something and since you freaders are so creative and fabulous, I’m turning to you. Of course, you will be handsomely rewarded. With what? I’m still unsure, but I think think of something amazingly awesome.

It is motherfucking walk off! Please watch this video. If you love Tim Gunn as much as I do, you will love this. Christian is annoying as hell through most of it, but Tim makes up for it!

I am a big fan of lists. When I found out NaBloPoMo was going monthly starting with March and the theme was lists, I emailed Mrs. Kennedy and was like sign me up! So everyday in the month I will be adding a list to each entry. Now if people hate lists, hate me, hate what I write or don’t write, that’s fine…keep on scrolling in your reader until April. I’m just making it know that there will be lists, and plenty of them at that!

I suppose this whole entry could be considered a list of random things but I’m going to share another one anyway.

Movies I plan on watching today:
Oceans 11 (the original)
Paris Je T’aime (I already watched half!)
Gone Baby Gone

exciting tings!

I’ve been a sucky blogger. I haven’t commented, read or written. I’m still on the verge of something exciting! No one knows but Jenn! (shh!) I’m very excited and hopefully, I can share the news later today! If not today, for sure tomorrow!

In other news,  I seen Charlie Barlett. Anton Yelchin, played Charlie, was great, in my opinion. His character was all over the place and he didn’t miss a beat. He was fantastic. Definitely something I’d recommend.

I finally got out of the house yesterday. I had to run to Target for a “few things”, of course those “few things” ran me about $90. You know how it goes with Target. Well that doesn’t include the stuff I buy for my family now, because my mother can’t be bothered anymore since she is almost home free. That is another entry entirely though, which will be coming soon.

Anyway, I picked up a movie I have been wanting to see for awhile: Paris, je  t’aime

I can’t wait to sit down and watch it. Could I be on  French movie kick? Seriously. This is obviously the closest I am going to get to Paris, until I either 1) come upon some money somehow or 2) get a real job.

Then of course, boyfriend and I had to hit up the classiest of the classy restaurants, Hooters. Shut up. If you have ever had wings there, you wouldn’t have anything to say. Plus, the cheese fries! Good lord, the cheese fries! Tell me why I go there yesterday and the decide to change things up? This girl brings out these nasty seasoned fries and are most definitely not the carb-y goodness that I go to that place for.  Even the jalapeño cheese could not save them from their awfulness. Hooters, you are not my friend until you bring back my french fries and I am AWESOME. You want me as your friend.

After a disappointing meal that left me craving french fries still, we went home where William helped me seperate a big bag of Starbursts into 2 baggies, pinks and reds in one and yellows and oranges in another. I only will eat the pink and reds, him being the amazing boyfriend that he is, takes all the other ones off my hands. That is love, people. He gives up all the pink and red Starbursts for me, when we all know, those are the best! We also started to watch I’m Not There but by 8:30, I was falling asleep. The sickie-ness is still not completely gone. Almost, but not quite. So far, what I have noticed is Cate Blanchett is amazing in it though!

Thank you all for the well wishes and and the new sites to check out. Stuff White People Like is probably the best blog ever. Thanks Erin and CDP for that!  Happy Tuesday! Yay for short weeks!

Tuesday!

I almost forgot today was Tuesday! That means I only have to sit through 2 of my ridiculous 6 1/2 hour CNA classes this week! That is a wonderful, wonderful thing.

This weekend really great. I finally got my hot fudge sundae, that I have been talking about for what seems like weeks. It was so worth the wait. It was insanely cold here in Chicago, so much of the weekend was spent cuddled up watching movies. The writers’ strike has really been affecting our television schedule, so the boyfriend has been getting movies for us. I seen a couple really good movies this weekend, so I’m going to recommend them to everyone!

2 Days in Paris

Factory Girl

I really enjoyed both, especially 2 Days in Paris. Definitely check them out if you are looking for something to watch. Next up on our list: Control, Hard Candy and Gone Baby Gone.

Happy Tuesday!

Cloverfield

Last night Will and I went to the movies. I wanted to see both 27 Dresses and Cloverfield, but I figured I would be a good girlfriend and not force him to sit through a chick flick. Cloverfield, it was. Now, back in July, we went to see Transformers and there was this trailer that left everyone like “what just happened?!”. There was all kinds of hype and rumors and it seemed like it was going to be great. Well as you know, most things probably don’t live up to the hype.

Cloverfield = FAIL

About 20 minutes in, I thought I was going to have to leave because I was so motion sick. I think when you make a monster movie, you want it to seem realistic. This was not. Girls running around in heels the whole movie and absolutely no children or elderly people live in Manhattan apparently. Just little things that kind of left you like, SERIOUSLY?!

All in all, I should have went to see my girl, Izzy. 27 Dresses obviously FTW here, people.

What should I watch?

For the past week my DVD player has been broke and that kind of ruins my schedule of watching Grey’s Anatomy seasons 1-3 every waking second. Seriously. It’s like what I do. There isn’t anything on televison? Pop in Grey’s DVD. Since my DVD player is broke, it’s been throwing me off. It’s too quiet in my room. I usually have something on the tv all the time as background noise, even if I’m not really paying attention. I’m not interested in anything else I have on dvd right now. My cables been jacked too, so for some reason, all I’m getting is fuzzy snow. My DVD player was necessary!

Yesterday I went to the boy’s and SURPRISE! I have a brand new little DVD player now! He’s the best.

Here is where I need help. I need to start watching something else or my Grey’s DVDs will get worn out. That would be pretty pathetic!

Favorite movies and television shows on DVD, please? GO!

Remember like a million years ago, I said I was going to the movies? Two times in one day? Well, that never happened. Unfortunately, I only ended up seeing I Am Legend that day. It was good, could have been a lot better though. It was very sad, there was a part in the video store, that practically had me bawling.

Anyway, that brings me to this:

Last night, I finally got around to seeing Juno. I’m telling you all right now - you must go immediately to see this movie. Run, do not walk. I loved it. It wasn’t OMG AMAZING!? But I thought it was pretty fantastic. I’m downloading the soundtrack as soon as I get a chance. Ellen Page was perfect and will definitely be someone to look out for in the future.

Has anyone else seen it? What did you think?

Just a 20something in Chicago trying to keep my head above water. Neurotic, over-thinking, bad tv watching girl with expensive taste and no money but completely adorable, if I do say so myself.
