My shadow for 13 years is left me yesterday. She’s in a better place and is no longer hurting. I can’t even think of something eloquent and lovely to describe what an amazing dog she was right now because my heart is just broken.

You’ll be missed, baby girl. I love you.
This place is lacking some adorable.

It’s an oldie, but a goodie. I miss my little, fluffy pup. She’s so big now!
I have one of my own. No, unfortunately, not my own Ben, but my own Calvin! With that said, introducing my newest addition to the Lovely clan.

My cousin had him, but moved and could no longer keep him. He may only be here temporarily or maybe if we fall in love (which will be hard not to!), permanently. Edie and him are the best of friends and wrestle their little hearts out. He’s her shadow. Mr. Wiener Dog’s right eye is half blue and half brown too!
He was given the unfortunate name of Smokey McLovin. Seriously? No dog of mine will be named that nonsense. Too much fierceness for that reject name. We are still thinking of a good one. Any suggestions are welcome!
More pictures, thoughts on guest bloggers and Florida recap to come. I’m still recuperating from vacation but had to share this adorable little acquisition of mine. Be on the look out for one last guest blog tomorrow from my BFF!
* Jenn totally came up with that title, btw.
We have the plastic turtle in my yard. For what reason, I’m not too sure, it’s there though. This turtle is just one of the many, many things that makes Edie flip her shit. The lawnmower, a leaf, the parked car, a potted plant, you existing….the list goes on

(Yes, the video is pixelated, I’m working on it. No, that hand does not belong to me, it’s my sister.)

Kimmy was a little wary of Edie today. I think she is jealous William was giving my pup some attention.

She’s obviously had enough puppy for the day!
Edie went to the dog park for the first time today. It was pretty chilly when we got there so not many pups were out. There was a black lab and a boxer there when got there and, of course, my sissy dog was scared. We played at the opposite end of the dog run because she was kind of overwhelmed. Hopefully next week will be nicer and we can make a trip to Wicker Park dog park.

Almost.
My little pup will be 5 months old next week. I can’t even believe it. It feels like I have had her forever! She’s getting huge. Last night, my sister and I had her out front in the grass and she was eating grass and gnawing on dandelions. Her legs are so short that you can barely tell she is standing up in the tall grass. She is still the other dog, Buttercup’s shadow and follows her closely. She tries herding us and my other dogs. I eventually would really like to get Edie into a agility class because I think she would have an blast. She runs around the yard and driveway at full speed, dashing under and around the cars and stuff in yard. She’s pretty hilarious. When she gets excited, she tries to wag her tail but she doesn’t really have one, so it’s more of a butt wiggle. She loves boyfriend so much and freaks out when she sees him. We are going to take her to a dog park, hopefully, sometime this week. Also, we are going to try to have a play date with his beagle. I’m hoping they like each other! Enough rambling…on to the cute!
