Since my blog has been gloom and doom via the written word lately, I figure I need to change things up a bit. Today let’s talk about happy things. Sunshine! Rainbows! Kittens that don’t ever get big and stay tiny and cute! Teddy bears! You can’t be mad and frown at those things. Can you? If you are, then you have absolutely no soul. You, soul-less creature, are banished from this entry. BANISHED.
Things that make me happy:
- my puppies (Princess, Blake, Buttercup and Penny Lane, in case you wanted to know their names)
- William
- thinking I did well on my CNA test AND my Math test
- perfect hair days
- American Apparel TriBlend Short Sleeve Deep Vs also know as the most comfy tee in the entire world
- contemplating what to frivolously spend my money on: Damier Azur LV speedy and iPhone OR a Miu Miu bow (LV and iPhone would be just about the same as a Miu Miu)
- planning on going out this weekend and drinking my stress away
- losing 2 pounds so far this week
- Mean Girls
- my blog design from Cuppycake
- figuring out vacations for the year
- cuddling with boyfriend
- boyfriend’s beagle dog, Kimmy
- Hot Rod Circuit
- LOST starting today
- the babies I nanny
- looking for new frames for my glasses, I’ve been eying some D&G ones
- my CNA class will be over the first week in March
- bloggy comments
- naps
- Justin Timberlake
Feel free to add your own.
I had to bump that last post down. It was so blah, so here are a few answers to some of the questions on this post!
Miriam: Predictions for this year’s top designer? Final 3 or 4? Since they can’t seem to make the decision on who to kick off when it’s down to 4 so they just keep one on!
Okay, they better not pull that top 4 shit again. That was ridiculous! My bet is on Jillian, Rami and Christian. I’d rather see Jillian, Sweet P and Rami. I don’t like Rami because all of his stuff looks the same, but I would rather die than see Christian go to Bryant Park and pull out 13 cropped, high necked coats and act like he is God’s gift to fashion.
KMG: Favorite books, movies, restaurants?
I’d have to go with Geek Love and Harry Potter series for books. Movies are Some Like It Hot and Almost Famous. Restaurant would be this little taco place by my house on the south side, San Francisco something or other. All I know it is so freaking good!
Jess: I’m on a beauty product kick at the moment, so… what are the beauty products that you use every day and/or can’t live without?
Oh gosh. Okay, either Philosopy’s Purity Made Simple or Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash, followed up with Hope in Jar. I swear by them. I could not live without my Jonathan Product Smooth No Frizz Hydrating Balm and rosebud salve though!
Katelin: If someone paid you $500 would you streak in a public place?
If no one I knew was there, probably! Or if I had a body like Giselle, I wouldn’t care if people I knew were there, haha. Dude, $500 is almost half of the Miu Miu bag I want!
Vanessa: What’s your favorite city to live in?
I’ve never lived anywhere other than Chicago. If I could move, I’m thinking somewhere warm. I’m so sick of Chicago winters!
Starting Over at 24: Is that flowing red hair I see in your pic? Is that 100% nat-ur-al??
Ah, yes, my icon thingy. Unfortunately, that is not me. It’s from a fashion editorial shot by Max Farago for Vogue Paris. Gorgeous photos.
Part two to come very soon. I didn’t want to make a gigantic post, so I broke them up!
Yesterday was ridiculous. I left at 7:30 AM and didn’t get home until 9:30. I got to math to find out we have a test Wednesday which means I will have to study all night. I had quite a few people (in class and even in my comments!) explain irrational and rational numbers to me, but yet, I still don’t completely get it. I get the idea of it, but just figuring it out, is the hard part. I hate fractions. They should be illegal. It doesn’t help that the girls who I study with are kind of lost on it too. Did I mention that one of them has my exact same name? Jamie (insert Hispanic last name)? Exactly. I’ve never met another person with my last name, let alone my first and last name spelled the exact same way.
I then went to get my TB skin test and gritted the whole time, you would have thought they were stabbing me repeatedly, when really it was a small poke. I hate shots. I have to go back Thursday to make sure I don’t have TB and then back Monday to get the second step. Tomorrow I have a physical and possibly more shots if my doctor feels I need them, which I’m praying he just waives.
I got back to school at around 1:30 and studied for my gigantic test at 3:30. Thank you for all your smarts and luck! I think I did pretty well. I over studied a lot of stuff I thought would be focused on more and understudied a few other things. Go figure. I still think I did okay. We will find out on Wednesday. My professor then decided, “Hey, after racking your brain for the test, I’m going to go over 9 new chapters and keep you hear until 9:00″, she wanted to do more but we basically would have rioted had she tried. The woman with the baby voice, for some reason decides to tell us that she has been dreaming about this class. What? Seriously. Go away. You’re creepy and your voice and inane comments and questions make me want to stab my eyes out.
Walking in the door, I find out Mother Dearest is talking to her lawyer. Things are about to get so messy at home, it’s not even funny. Plus she is been acting like everything is fine, which it obviously is not. My sister and I haven’t spoken to her in over a month and she is walking around all smiles. Well, whatever, as long as she is happy, right?
I have a ton of emails to return, google reader to catch up on and math homework. I will write something a little less whiny and ranty soon enough. I have all those questions to answer too!
One bright spot? I seen this over on The Stupidsheet:

I’m not going to point out anyone in particular, because I think all you bitches are awesome!
I have about a million things to do today.
Wish me luck on my gigantic test!
I really wish it wasn’t Sunday. The weekend went by too fast. I didn’t get enough done. I have a full week coming up, plus, I get a shot tomorrow. No one likes shots.
I need to study. I just had to fulfill my Blog 365 duties.
Here is another picture of Buttercup getting comfy in a box full of stuff. It’s from a few years ago, but one of my favorites.

I can’t stop looking at my new design. It’s just so pretty and pink!
I went to sleep so early last night, woke up around 2:30AM for an hour and went back to bed. I was exhausted. I was hoping I’d sleep a little later but of course, my body hates me and I was up at 8:30 this morning.
Plans for this weekend:
- go buy ugly nursing shoes and white scrub pants
- laundry
- get organized
- watch movies with boyfriend
- possibly go out tonight
- study study study for my test on Monday
What do you have planned?
Also, you can still ask questions here, I’ll be doing my answer entry Monday most likely.
Also, also, I joined Facebook to see what all that nonsense is about. I don’t see the addictive qualities just yet. Maybe because I have no friends on it? Someone explain the Facebook trap to me, plz.
Also, also, also, I might just add you on that Facebook thing if you’re nice!
We have a new look here at Oh! How Lovely! I am very very very excited about it. Jess from The Tattooed Mama designed my super cute layout! What do you think?
Jess is awesome. She was incredibly patient with me, I know I had to be annoying. I’m so picky and particular, but she came up with something that was what I wanted to a T! She does Blogger AND Wordpress designs. She can do a whole package, just a header, whatever you want! Go check her out.
If I were rich, I would live in couture. Walk my dog, go to the mall, do absolutely everything, while wearing amazing pieces. I would be walking art.
Chanel: Paris Haute Couture Spring/Summer 08

Notice they are all wearing flats. I thought that was pretty great.

Next time I decide to slack off on writing, I will know better not to do it on a Thursday after a new Project Runway. I apologize! I’m also sorry for a half ass recap. I think I’ve lost my mojo. I need to get it back!

Let’s cut to the chase. Denim. Levi’s to be specific. The challenge was to create an iconic denim look that captures the spirit of the 501 legacy. Why they had to take the designers to a warehouse across from Manhattan to pick denim, I will never know but whatever! I’m not a fan of denim really, other than my jeans and maybe a skirt occassionaly.
We hit the workroom. My first thought is - HA! Rami, denim is not very drapable! What the hell are you going to do this challenge? Then Ricky decides to tell us how he loves denim and makes some of his hideous hats out of denim. YOU WOULD, RICKY. YOU WOULD. Everyone then comes to realize what an annoying, little bitch Christian is. Jillian cries and has poor time management issues, but still ILU, Jillian. Sweet P is making a denim wedding dress. That just sounds like a mess. Victorya and Jillian are both making trenches. Jillian’s is far more well made then Victorya, but still, they Jillian just made a fabulous trench last challenge. Why try to do it again?
Runway!
Remember these guys? They are getting put to good use today. It’s freeezing out!

Let’s ignore the fact that I’m looking a little thick in these pictures and focus on the puppy! That’s Buttercup, she was ready to go in.
