Most of you missed the great blog fiasco this weekend. Okay, it really wasn’t a fiasco to anyone but me. I stupidly thought I could update Wordpress on my own, screwed it up, had to delete my whole blog, reinstalled, fortunately had a backup of all entries and comments, lost all my themes and widgets and got everything back up and running. Once I got everything back up, I realized my blog wasn’t coming up on feed readers. For some reason, they were marking all my new entries as old and dating them months back even though they were new.
All that matters is I’m up and running! Should you so choose, you can also subscribe by email now or through a reader, both options are over there on the right. ————–>

On to other matters of the non-bloggy kind. We are having some freakishly spring weather over here in Chicago for the past few days! It’s been in the 50s, kind of wet and rainy and we are having a flash flood warning until tomorrow. It’s a fabulous change from freezing, below-zero temperatures and heavy snow though. Chicago will set me straight soon enough with a drastic change that will leave me scrambling for my parka and ugly boots.
I promise, tomorrow I will have something up about my Las Vegas trip. So far all I gave you was a Coco and Ice T sighting and while I know how much everyone loves Coco, it’s just not that much of an update. I have pictures of cute, cuddly lions! Playing with each other!
This week I only work two days. I’ve worked only one day in the past two weeks with Christmas and my own vacation. It’s made me absolutely slothful. You couldn’t pay me to get out of comfy clothes and do something other than lay around. I’m trying to enjoy my days off while I have them. Next week starts two months of nonstop go go go. I’ll write more about that later though, it’s an entry all in itself.
Shout out to the bizarro Detroit me for the Juno soundtrack! Thanks, ilu!
I think I fixed my feed reader problem. If you are viewing this from your feed reader, comment and let me know if it is working!
I don’t think my last entry showed up in feed readers. This is a test entry. A cute one.
Okay for some reason my posts are showing up in google reader but at the wrong date. My two newest entries are showing up on Dec 24. How do I fix this?!
So this stupid wordpress update has been sitting on my dashboard, taunting me to update my site for the past week. I, being the sissy that I am, put it off because I am afraid I will fuck everything up. Today, I decide to man up and just upgrade.
What do I do?
Completely fuck everything up. I have to delete wordpress from my server and re-install it. Luckily, I had saved my posts, comments and all of that in an XML file thingy, but my theme, plugins, widgets and all that…GONE. I’ve been scrambling to get everything somewhat back to how it was. I can’t believe I almost lost my whole blog.
Oh, when I reinstalled wordpress, of course, I did not install the newest one. I’m still stuck with the one I had before I messed everything up.
I’m never trying to update wordpress again.
I will have version 2.3.1 for the rest of my life.
Forever.
EDIT
I got everything back up but now my entries are showing up as old in feed readers. So it seems like I haven’t updated but really my new entries are all marked with December publishing dates.Â
I DON’T KNOW HOW TO FIX IT AND IT IS MAKING ME CRAZY.
Remember like a million years ago, I said I was going to the movies? Two times in one day? Well, that never happened. Unfortunately, I only ended up seeing I Am Legend that day. It was good, could have been a lot better though. It was very sad, there was a part in the video store, that practically had me bawling.
Anyway, that brings me to this:

Last night, I finally got around to seeing Juno. I’m telling you all right now - you must go immediately to see this movie. Run, do not walk. I loved it. It wasn’t OMG AMAZING!? But I thought it was pretty fantastic. I’m downloading the soundtrack as soon as I get a chance. Ellen Page was perfect and will definitely be someone to look out for in the future.
Has anyone else seen it? What did you think?

Usually, I am on top of my game, guys. I would have had this up forever ago, but due to a little thing called sleep, I am late with updating.
In short, Brit Brit refused to turn over the kids to Kfed’s bodyguards. Police, firetrucks and ambulances were called, and eventually forced their way in. Britney and little Jayden (poor baby) were both taken away in ambulance, Sean Preston was apparently turned over to Kevin’s body guards earlier in the evening. Still checking for updates on the situation.
EDIT: Someone posted a picture of Jayden at the hospital with all these people around him. Ugh. That makes me so sad. They are just babies.
Poor Sean P and Jayden :(
It’s back! I actually didn’t even write about the last episode, because I was bored to tears with it. It seems Bravo has redeemed itself with an awesome challenge and judging. Zac Posen! That adorable little curly mopped man who makes amazing, amazing things!

Doesn’t everyone wish they could run into a huge candy store and grab everything they want in five minutes? Isn’t that everyone’s one true dream in life? Okay, I guess it’s just mine. Whatever, that was the challenge though! Tim woke everyone up bright and early and, dude, Time Gunn could wake me up any day and I would not complain, then again these designers are whiny, ungrateful wenches.. So he whisked them off to Times Square and into the Hershey’s Store. Yum! After 5 minutes the place was ransacked and they were off to Parsons.
Seriously?
Obviously, NaBlaaaamo! wasn’t enough torture. If any of you crazy people are doing Blog 365 as well, you can find me here. Hopefully this won’t leave me banging my head against my laptop or begging someone to do something funny so I will have writing material. Nah, never happen. I love my MacBook too much!
2008, already? I swear, you just popped up out of nowhere. 2007 was a fabulous year, right up until the last two days.

- visiting Mickey Mouse and hanging out in Florida again for the second year in a row
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
- still working for the most amazing family and welcoming their new little one
- started this lovely site here, found some awesome new blogs and successfully completed NaBloPoMo!
- celebrating 4 years with boy in October
- my dog still being with me, after the trying year she had health wise
- Las Vegas vacation!
Lowlights:
- realizing practically all the classes I have taken are useless in my new major and that I won’t graduate until I’m around 27
- regretting not having my shit together right out of high school
- being sick on my trip to Vegas
- remember that bad news I mentioned here? Here it is: coming home from vacation to find my dad packing up his things. Parents are divorcing. Welcome home, Jamie.
- not being able to ring in the new year with the boy
There you have it, 2007 in review.
_______
2008 Resolutions:
- learn to love myself and be more confident
- take better care of myself
- be happy with my body and do whatever it takes to get there
- travel more, even if it is just within the states. try to go somewhere I have never been this year
- read more books
- work my ass off in school
- put myself out there more, in regards to making friends
- be the best girlfriend, sister, daughter, friend I can be
- work hard at my relationship and hope that it continues to grow into the amazing thing it is becoming
- try new things, whether it be a new restaurant, activity, class, whatever
- write more. blog it, paper journal it, moleskine it, write it on a napkin while out to eat. just write.
Bring it, 2008.
On Thursday, I was walking around Planet Hollywood and the connecting Miracle Mile shops with the boyfriend checking out the shops. Guess who we see walk by?

Ice T and Coco
This picture is actually from that night at the opening of new club Prive in Planet Hollywood. I found it on Oh No They Didn’t! (more at the link)
She’s totally just as trashy looking in person. haha They didn’t look too happy, so I didn’t want to bust out my camera and get all paparazzi on them.
P.S. I promise to write more on Vegas soon. I found out some shitty news and everything I try to write is just a jumbled mess of whining and ranting. Once I can string together something a bit more eloquent than that, I will have something up here.
