Because I love you.

No, not you Tyra, even though you invented love when you started modeling at 15 and lived in a room with 8 other girls, one of which stole your alarm clock.
It’s that time again, bitches. Get ready!
(all gifs from fourfour, duh)
I love you very much. You are very cute and pink. You let me write anything I want, even when it is whiny and full of complaints. You put up with tons of ridiculously adorable puppy pictures. You have also allowed me to meet so many awesome people and get to know them. You won me Most Likeable in the 20SB blog awards. There is an excess amount of Tyra gifs and you don’t even mind. I feed you, you have good content! Well I guess that could be questionable, depending on who you talk to but still. If people didn’t like you, they wouldn’t come back! You put up with those silly ads over on the right side but really, blog, it’s all for you. Those ads are to keep you looking pretty and staying hosted!
Here we get invited to the Martha Stewart blogging show and we probably won’t be able to go.
Why you ask?
Money, blog. It’s what it all comes down to. Lack of it.
Here I am busting my ass at work and all my money is going to school since I have no help from my parents or loans. It’s all me. Then I find out I got a ticket to this and oh shit, it’s in two weeks!
I can’t pull together money for flight AND hotel. Hotel alone will cost be $500 at least for two nights. Flight will be at least $250.
I don’t have that kind of money. It more than likely won’t happen for us, blog.
Pretty sucky, huh?
Too bad I don’t have some sponsor to send me. You know how companies pretty much throw themselves at some mom bloggers with handfuls of cash, sending them this place and over there and more products than they can carry, just begging for them to take it and write about it? I have just as much say in the blogging community. Twenty somethings want to buy stuff too. We have plenty of spending power but are just overlooked. You don’t see anyone knockin’ on mine or my blog friends’ doors. Maybe one day they will see that us twenty somethings are an untapped market.
Sorry, blog. I doesn’t look like we will be showing off your prettiness in NYC hanging in the Martha audience unless a miracle happens.
Love,
Jamie
P.S. This isn’t us hatin’ on mama bloggers. I love the mommies that blog. My favorites are some!

This is one of my favorite pictures ever of my Edie. She’s so big now. I can’t believe she was once this little!
What is this girl talking about, you ask? Well let me tell you!
BlogDay was created with the belief that bloggers should have one day dedicated to getting to know other bloggers from other countries and areas of interest. On that day Bloggers will recommend other blogs to their blog visitors.
With the goal in mind, on this day every blogger will post a recommendation of 5 new blogs. This way, all blog readers will find themselves leaping around and discovering new, previously unknown blogs.
Two L’s Please - Hillary just got married, well got married a few weeks ago and is just getting around to posting about it! She has a cutie pie puggle named Stella who will never be allowed to eat bright red yogurt again and is all around awesome.
Gorgeous Footsteps in the Sand - If Katelin and I lived in the same place, I’d force her to be my best friend. I had an amazing time hanging out with her in San Francisco last month and was sad we had to leave. She wore a McDonald’s bag on her head, drank lots of wine with me and even video blogged with me. Our love for Pacey and Hollywood gossip knows no ends.
Cleveland’s a Plum - Alexa was actually here in Chicago a few weeks ago and I didn’t get to meet her. It was a huge bummer because everyone else in the world has met her and said she is just as awesome as she seems. She has the best job ever and hits me up on gchat to tell me the most ridiculous things ever (still jealous, by the way!) and LeBron James even smacked her ass once.
It’s Like I’m…Maaaagic - If you don’t read Brandy yet, you really should. She’s hilarious and will one day marry George Clooney. I have no doubts. She was the first 20something blogger I ever found and I love her to pieces. I also want to be her BFF!
The Bloggess - Now seriously, if there is ever a blog that leaves me cracking the fuck up while I’m reading, it’s this one. The kind of laugh you can’t hold in and if you were somewhere in public, everyone would look at you because ewwwww, gross you just spit your drink our your nose kind of laugh. Jenny is fucking hilarious. Whether it’s drag queen legos or murdering the top 5K bloggers on Technorati so she can have the top spot. Go read. NOW.
There you have it. My Blog Day blog recommendations. Be one of the cool kids and post this on your blog too so all your readers can find some new blogs!
I’ve been tagged for a few surveys (meme is the stupidest word ever) in the past few months but suck at keeping up with them. I wasn’t even tagged for this one but I felt it was kinda interesting so I’m doing it instead!
A. Attached or single? Boyfriend-ed
B. Best friend? William.
C. Cake or pie? I’m not really a fan of either. Cake, I guess but it all depends on the frosting. Most is far too sweet for me.
D. Day of choice? Sundays. They are usually pretty relaxing and lazy days.
E. Essential item? Only one? Dude, come on. Okay, rosebud salve. My Blackberry too. I get two essential items, don’t tell me what to do!
F. Favorite color? Burgundy. No, it’s not pink. I’m sure you are all surprised! But like I said before, I don’t really wear bright colors, I’m much more of a deep color kind of gal.
G. Gummy bears or worms? Eww. Neither. I’m not a fan of gummy candy.
H. Hometown? South side of Chicago! No, not the South Loop or by Comiskey. There is more of Chicago past 35th street. I’ll punch the next person who asks me one of those places when I say South Side.
I. Favorite indulgence? Buttery soft leather handbags. Mmmm. Also, spoiling my puppy rotten.
J. January or July? I’m not a fan of winter or summer but I’ll go with summer so July.
K. Kids? Oh god no. The ones (1 and 3) I nanny for are perfectly fine for now and they are the best birth control I could ever ask for. Thanks.
L. Life isn’t complete without? Puppy kisses, good books and great conversation.
M. Marriage date? I’d like a fall wedding if I get married. Late September or early October.
N. Number of brothers and sisters? One brother and one sister. My sister, Sara, has a blog. She is in school for special effects makeup in PA. That’s a link to her twitter as my mom reads her blog, I don’t want any trackbacks. Her blog link is in her twitter profile though. She posts some crazy shit. Go check it out.
O. Oranges or apples? Apples. With peanut butter! Oooh or apple sauce. Yum.
P. Phobias? Spiders, bees, being alone forever.
Q. Quotes? “Imperfection is beauty; madness is genius. And it’s better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.” - Marilyn Monroe
“In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.” - Coco Chanel
R. Reasons to smile? Being greeted by my excited puppy when I come home. Silly text messages. Getting mail…real mail! Cuddles and having my hair played with. Picking up a familiar and worn book. Good hair days.
S. Season of choice? Fall. Always fall. I’m a big fan of the cool weather, not too cold or too hot. I love the clothing choices. Boots and scarves, lots of layering. Unfortunately, fall only lasts about two weeks here in Chicago before we get hit with the freezing winds and blizzards.
T. Tag 5 people. Tag! You’re it.
U. Unknown fact about me? My favorite book in 4th grade was Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. I was obsessed with that book. I was quite the reader.
V. Vegetable? Potato! I’m a fan of mashed potatoes. I use to work at this restaurant in high school and they had the most amazing garlic mashed potatoes EVER.
W. Worst habit? Besides doing lots of blow, I bite my nails. Okay, I lied. I don’t really do blow, I just bite my nails.
X. X-ray or ultrasound? Um…x-ray? I guess. Just as long as I have no broken bones. I’ve never broken any bones. *knocks on wood* I hope I don’t fall and break something now that I jinxed myself!
Y. Your favorite food? penne noodles with pesto sauce and chicken. I am a carb addict which is quite evident, in my opinion.
Z. Zodiac sign? Aries. Some traits you ask? Sure. Likes: Action, Coming in first, Challenges and Spontaneity. Dislikes: Waiting around, Admitting Failure, No opposition, Tyranny, Other peoples advice. Yeah, I’d say it’s pretty spot on.
Thank you all for commenting on my last post! I loved reading about the meanings of your blog names. Everyone should go check it out because it’s just really interesting. If for some reason you didn’t add yours, definitely do so, I’m totally nosy.
I’m currently looking for a part time job. I may be going to Vegas in October so it would be great to have that money to spend on hookers and blow. Even if Vegas doesn’t happen, I can still really use some extra cash coming in. It can go to many, many things!
I went to a Venus magazine party last night. I plan on writing more about that later because I want to show you guys my swag and I didn’t get to take pics of it.
School is going okay. Math teacher still thinks she is an English teacher with her “projects”. Psych teacher drew a 3 foot penis on the board. My Comm instructors told me the internet isn’t a form of Mass Media and was talking about “blaaawging”. Yes, that is how he says it.
My shopping finds blog is as awesome as ever. I’m having way too much fun picking out fun stuff to post. It also keeps me from buying everything in the world I see on etsy, if that makes sense.
Television! Greek just started! I haven’t watched it yet or this weeks Project Runway but I plan on having a major catch up session soon with boyfriend. AND Entourage starts soon. So psyched. I need some Ari Gold in my life.

I’ve always wondered about some of your blog name meanings so now is the time to dish!
Why is your blog called what it is called? Your name, favorite color, imaginary friend, a word you like, favorite food, the crackhead down the street?
Whatever it is, I want to know.
My blog was started on a whim (as are all the awesome ones!) and I wasn’t sure what I wanted to call it. I like the word LOVELY and ran with it so there you have it.
Oh! How Lovely!
Your turn.
Some of you know I use to recap Project Runway weekly. Well this season rolled around and I wasn’t really interested in recaps. I’m definitely still watching though! Inspired by a conversation with Alexa earlier today, I thought maybe since we are five episodes in, I’d post a few thoughts on some of the designers and the outfits that have stuck out in my head.
So honestly, this far the designers come to mind first are Leanne, Kenley, Keith, Suede, Blaine, Terri, Koto and Stella. My favorites are Leanne and Korto. Least favorites are….care to take a guess? Blayne-licious and Keith.

I have an awesome giveaway for all you laptop owners over at my shopping blog. Laptop decals!
Go check it out!
