This week we have Soul Sisters as the Etsy Adore feature and giveaway. Soul Sisters makes beautiful candles in a delicious array of scents. Lucky for you guys, Rebecah and Jennifer will be giving away one of their yummy Christmas scented candles away to one reader!

Tell us a little about yourselves and your shop.
HI! Our names are Jennifer & Rebecah and we have been friends for about 11 years! We are both very busy, very active MOMS with a love for our beautiful families, our amazing friends and of course…CANDLES!! We met each other when we were pregnant with our first babies & actually, the day we met we found out that we were due on the same exact date! From that point on, we knew that we were SOUL SISTERS!
We both have very sensitive senses of smell and are very picky about what smells we burn in our homes! Anything you find in our shop has to pass not only one, but TWO smell tests before we will make it! (Sometimes more, because our kids like to get involved in the sniffing process!) As a matter of fact, there are a few scents that our kids have picked out all together and those are usually or best selling!!
We truly love our shop and making these candles.
How did you both get in candle making?
We love spending time together and had been thinking of a way to go into business together…doing something that we both enjoy, SO you guessed it we went with making candles. We have lots of friends who love them too and this way we are able to make a product that is better priced and better quality than most of what you can buy at the store. Not to mention that if there is someone that wants something special, all we have to do is do some research and make it!! We both spent many hours reading and testing and learning the process. We are blessed to have husbands and children that are supportive of us and our commitment to our candle making. We still continue to learn and grow with our business and we are loving every moment of it.
What are you favorite scents?
Goodness…That’s a hard one. They are all so yummy, but we think that we can agree that the Lilac and Cashmere are our all around favorites. Each season comes with a new favorite, though. And we keep adding more favorites to our list! Hot Apple Pie is one of our favorite fall scents. And for Christmas and winter…there are too many to mention! Let’s face it, for the most part if it’s in our store, it’s our favorite!
What do you do when you’re not making candles?
As we mentioned, we have children and so that means we are running all the time!
Both of us are very involved in our communities and active in our children’s school and sports programs. We love spending time with our families and friends and keep busy running our households, just like all the other mothers (and fathers) out there!
On top of that, we both also have part-time jobs. We enjoy reading and going out to dinner. Rebecah loves the beach and Jennifer loves Disney…So we love to travel when we can as well!
Name 3 etsy shops you love.
K Photo Design She is SUCH a talented photographer and her prints and photography are beyond BEAUTIFUL. You can see how gifted she is by looking at our shop. She did all the photography and artwork. She is truly AMAZING! And actually, she is the one who introduced us to Etsy to begin with! ![]()
Fat Daddy Bake Shop. If you have not tried her cupcakes…shame on you!! They are SOOOOO YUMMY!!!!! It is really hard not to go to her shop everyday and drool over whatever she may be cooking up!
Sassy Apron. She is such a talented seamstress! Her work is gorgeous!! We actually found her featured on this Oh How Lovely blog and fell in love with her aprons! We had to get a couple to make our candles in! ![]()
Bailey Doesn’t Bark is another amazing shop by another super talented, super inspiring person! We just stand in wonder and awe of the beautiful painting she does. We would take one of each of her items if we could!!
There are SO many other shops we admire…Etsy is amazing and we have LOVED being a part of this wonderful community of talented individuals!
Friends of the Heart…Sisters of the Soul!
With love,
Jennifer & Rebecah

My favorite smell (although I haven’t actually smelled it) is the Love Spell scent.
The description is so detailed that I’m sure that I’ll love it. I am also very picky about what smells I let into my house. I’m glad to hear that Soul Sisters are, too.
